insurance needs more info

I usually just lurk here, but I was wondering if anyone's insurance has ever requested more info before approval? My insurer is Healthlink and I am trying to get the band. The rep said she didn't know what they needed, but my case was being sent to a higher decision maker and they needed more info. Could this be a good sign? It appears that they are giving me consideration instead of a flat out NO. bambi
