Just want to know...
Surgery on Sept. 27, 2004. Down 118 lbs. Have another 113 to go. Wt. loss has slowed some, but it's still going down. For the person who was needing protein. Try my favorite, GNC liquid protein. Only comes in punch flavor. Put it in Pink Lemonade Crystal Light. I do 24 oz. of CL and 3-6 T of liquid protein. Just makes the CL taste a little diffo but not much. No after taste and no yucky smell. 3 T is 18 grams of protein. It's the only protein I like. I actually look forward to my morning protein drink.

Hi Shelly. I hope you are doing well!
Before surgery, in May, I lost 4 lbs., and in the week prior to surgery, I lost 27 lbs. because of the pre-op liquid sugar free diet. Can you believe 27 lbs. in one week?! I still can't believe it myself!
My surgery date was June 1. As of last Wednesday, June 15, I had lost 20 lbs. since surgery.
So the total weight loss before and after surgery, up through last Wednesday, is 51 lbs! I have a hard time believing it. I already lost at least one dress size, one top size, at least one pant size, and two chest sizes in my bra.
My next follow-up appointment is July 7. I am going to try to hang on until then to find out my weight because I would rather hop on the scale once a month and see a big loss than to go week over week and see a few pounds gone. Don't get me wrong -- a few pounds are better than nothing! But I think I would rather see the big surprise from my month of work than a smaller amount each week.
I am being a good girl and getting in my protein requirement and taking my supplements and water requirement each day. Before I went back to work last week, I accomplished a huge milestone and walked a mile. I haven't been walking since then, because it is too hot for me to tolerate, but I will be getting my Y membership next week, and will start working out there every day after work.
Thanks for asking and good luck to everyone here!

I know what your talking about with the sizes it's just a great thing I told hubby it's time for me to go in and see what fits this week..and the real nice thing is I am not hanging on to my big out fits ...LOL....I really need to start doing my PROTEIN better I will have to work on that as of today..best of luck to you and have a great happy cool summer LOL going to be in the 90's this week..
Hi Shelly,
I am busy as ever which is a good thing. I have been walking 15 min 3x a day and swimming for an hour each night. I had my surgery on April 18, 2005 and have gotten rid of 55 lbs to date.
I struggle with the water and protien. It just seems like there is not enough hours in the day. I set my computer at work to remind me to drink every 10 min. but the amount that I can get in without hurting my pouch is small.
I will keep plugging away at it and get what I need.
Take care,
Tara
