Two Month Anniversary
My surgery was on 4/11/05 and as of this morning, I have lost 63 pounds!!! I am very happy about that. I can honestly say, the only time I have had any problems with food is when I ate some soup too fast. That is it. I have been following my doctor's plan about 98% and I am very carefull whenever I try to introduce something new.
I walk for exercise but need to get back to the gym now. I did have some problems with constipation. I purchased a stool softener. But then I got to thinking, well I am some what lactose intolerant and if I drink some skim milk, not only will that get things "moving, but I am getting in some fluid and more protein. I scare myself sometimes with how smart I can be! BIG HAHA! So, that has been working for me now.
I am now wearing jeans that I haven't worn in over two or three years and that is a great feeling. I have taken the waist up in my dress pants 5 times now, so I guess it is time to break down and buy a new pair.
The DePaul support group here in St. Louis is GREAT! and we have clothing exchange the first wednesday, so I have been able to pick up some smaller blouses and a pair of jeans. Works for me!
