Priscilla, I am on medicaid and I go to Dr. Scott too. I sent my packet in on Nov. 11 and I have gone thru a long process myself. it is now June and I have finally gotten approval from medicaid, but it was only sent in to them 3 weeks before they approved it. I had my pshyic eval in Dec. I went to a seminar in Jan. and saw Dr. Scott in Jan. then I had a sleep study Feb. 9th and more test on my heart and lungs Feb. 22nd . had another sleep study Apr. 11th and from there I have been waiting. alot of time inbetween apt.s . But it's not always like that, some people fly right thru it. and it seems like medicaid have been pretty quick with their approvals, so good luck to you, SherryWhite

I was dumb enough not to copy everything before I submitted it. I learned. Copy it all, even if it means a special trip to Kinkos! At least if they lose it, you can COPY IT AGAIN, and send it to them.

Are you sure they lost it or is it just in the University system somewhere? One person said Dr. Scott's office said to give them 2 weeks from when it is sent to when they get it. Hope they find it for you. But if they did lose it, it is worth it to do it over again. Maybe if you do it quick, you'll remember most of it.

Hi Priscilla, Dont give up~!! Call them tommorow and ask where things stand. I tried a year ago and was flat denied. Diff Dr but same basic story as alot of folks. I switched insurance co's and tried again. Now 8 months later I am 12 days post op and down almost 29 lbs. So please dont get frustrated, or upset. Fight for what you want, make calls, ask questions. Make them folks work for you. But most of all think patience. It is going to take time and yes I know I said dont but it is frustrating. When you get tired, worn, out and ready to give up drop me a message and we will chat through it, or post your feelings on here. I am sure there a 1000 for everyone of us that have gone through our or going through the same thing~!. Dont give up and remember you have a board full of people to help~! Gevin 307/278 (12 days post op) / 150 ish...
