Hello everyone my name is Terry. I have been looking into having this RNY surgery for almost a year now.My insurance doesn't cover it yet. Dr. Scott had a meeting with them on 06/03/05. And from what I heard today things look pretty promising. Keep your fingers crossed. I lost weight on WW then I had a hysterectomy and I have gained it all back + some. This has been my life, just like a yo-yo. Is there anyone out there that works for SSM that is wanting to have this surgery? Any information out there will be of help.

Hi Penni, Well I did find out today at work that the insurance company Will probably cover the surgery but the employees will have to pay a portion, and might even have to do some type of weight loss diet for about 6mos. I am doing ww again (trying). So hopefully by the time the ins. takes effect I will have my 6mos in. I'm really hoping we will not have to do the 6mos diet,I want to get started on this journey. I am 100lbs over weight and I have sleep apnea, arthritis, fibromyalgia and spondylosis, I am tired all the time. My doctor cut my working hours down to 6 from 8 because I just can't do 8 hours any more. Some- times I come home from work and go straight to bed. " what a life." I have a 3yr. old grandson and one on the way I want to be able to play outside with them. That is enough about me.So tell me about you. I love to talk, If anyone wants to talk you can call on. Love,Terry
