Well, I went to the doctor, and I still know nothing. She said she's going to call the healthcare company and talk to them. See what doctors they use and stuff like that. So...I have no idea. She wasn't opposed to the idea...which was good. I just have no clue where to go from here. *sighs* I asked her what I needed to be doing, and she said that there's nothing really I can do until she gets some information from the healthcare co. *double sighs* Amanda

Amanda, If you are interested in Dr. De La Torre doing your surgery, I would call his office and let them know that you are interested in the surgery and would like to get to the information to fill out. Alot of times that i called I would get their answering service, then just leave your name and address and ask them to send you the paperwork to fill out for the surgery. It took me over a month to get all my paperwork togather anyways, so while you are waiting for your dr you can at least be getting that stuff ready. They ask alot of questions about your family's medical problems so if you don't know any of that, now is a good time to start talking to your parents and finding out any of thier parent's medical history as well as theirs. Here is their website: http://www.depaulweightloss.com/ Phone number is: 314-344-6800 ......just a side note, Nancy is the one that does most of the paperwork and she only works Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, so it may be awhile before she gets back with you, but I think it took almost 2 weeks to get my packet in the mail after I called them. HOpe this helps and don't give up. I started my process at the beginning of January, I was just very lucky and didn't have to wait long for the insurance company's approval letter, but some people have to wait almost 6-9 months from start to finish. Good luck, Theresa
