Hi, Well I get to be with Lesa and say that I'm finally on the loosing bench! (Scoot over Lesa! ) Got home yesterday myself, and had a little trouble with the nausa and post surgery gas... yuck! But this too will pass.. haha So many things to remember to do and not to do... I'm just a wee bit overwhelmed at times but it helps when you have friends and family that have gone through all of this. As most of you know I lost my mother last part of April and it was kinda hard going through the surgery without her being there bodily. In ways it was a lonley time, but many times I did feel her... and could just hear her go "we did it honey... now the disipline and hard part is up to you..." Believe me I did the surgery for all the right reasons, but this was the last promise I made to my mother... just makes me feel good that I got to keep all of them to her. Just one more promise to myself and that is loose the weight get healthy, and happier, and lead a much more active and wonderful life! I think I can do that! I'm now getting impatient to get back to the gym and get starting to work out again and take a few laps in the pool. I was doing a 25 minute mile on the treadmill and want to get back to it and make it faster... I'm never satified am I? I have to laugh tho at the hospital my 2 nurses was Joy and Hope... Joy was there in the morning, and Hope was there at night... Just always had to grin when I saw them... I have had such "joy" in knowing that I can get the weight off after surgery... and "hope" is coming.... They were 2 sweet nurses... Well anyways just thought I'd pop in and say hello to you guys! I guess we should call ourselves the Three Hotties! I had my surgery the same day as you and Lesa, at Bothwell in Sedalia. Glad to hear you're doing OK. It is time to party now!

Girlfriend you are so right!!!! I think we should call ourselves the 3 hotties... It has been such a high for me to have had this surgery.... It gives me so much hope for the future! I'm so happy I almost can't stand myself! hee hee I always had to giggle at my bro in law and sister who had the surgery themselves and always thought they were a little "anal" when it came to all the weightloss stuff but now I realize that yeah, you have to be anal to keep yourself on track... I have felt so wonderful that I went out and almost walked a mile and loved every step! Now that is something I havenet been able to say for a long long time... loved the excersize! BTW have you been able to go take a walk yourself? How's the recovery doing for you? So far I can say mine really hasnt been bad at all... the pain level is really minimal now... for the first couple three days I was begining to wonder.... Take Care and Let me know how youre doing Ardie

Well Connie when you get your surgery we'll have to be called the 4 hotties! I KNOW we have plenty of room at the loosers bench for all that want to come and be a looser.... You know after the initial pain in the hospital, I have really not have had a whole lot of pain... more of a discomfort feeling more than anything. Man, the positive feelings and the sense of hope, joy, and enjoying life again at a smaller more healthier me is one that I can achieve and be! If you havent had the feeling yet you will. My sister keeps telling me that the first year is a bumpy ride so hang on! Well Im prepared for the bumps but I can't wait for the success that comes with the hard work. It will pay off.... If you need anything let me know Connie Im here for ya! Take Care and tell me how its going for you! Ardie

Thanks Peggy, April was a rough one to say the least but things are looking up and there is more to life than what I have had in the past 15 years with all this weight on! I really do think that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.... or is that Motel 6 "we'll leave the light on for you"? Take Care and have a great weekend! Ardie
