another step done!

Today I finished all the pre op steps. I attended the ed program and then saw my surgeon and then saw the anesthesia doc and then had blood drawn and then had a EKG and then had a chest xray. man am I glad thats done. soon to be a loser too! lesa

I know what you mean, it is alot of walking around for all that stuff. I did it on the 19th. I was so glad to have it all done too. Good luck to you and I am soon to follow ya!!

Lesa, You are making great progress. I finished my application, took the TSH test, good the medical referal letter from my PCP and am waiting for the psych eval which is in the mail. My application packet will be mailed tomorrow with any luck at all. Linda

You're getting closer all the time Lesa! I'm hoping to get a date this week. Had thought I'd get one last week but ended up being sent back to a cardiologist instead. Dr. Scott saw something in the stress test that said something about not being able to rule out an eschemia, or something like that. So I had to be cleared by the cardiologist. I saw the cardiologist yesterday and he said that I was in very good hands as not everyone would have made me have a clearance from the cardiologist just because of that one phrase. Good thing is, the cardiologist said the best thing for me was to have the surgery and lose the weight, so he was going to fax his "okey-dokey" to Dr. Scott's office yesterday!! Hallelujah!!! This was the one last obstacle!!! Connie
