protein bar advice

Ok, I advice on this one.I went to GNC and wanted to try the ''Atkins Advantage'' protein bar.Its chocolate chip granola bar. Its so awsome.But hears the catcher, its got 17 grams of protein and 17 carbs,but I think its kinda high in calories,its got 200.. Let me know what u guys think before I buy more... I have never tried a protein bar I liked but this one is great.. Dawn

If you are using it as a meal replacement, I think the calories are fine. If you are using it as a snack, you might want to break into two pieces and have part early in the day and the rest later in the day. 200 calories is kind of high for a snack. I use protein shakes the same way...either for a meal (on occasion) or as a snack (again, on occasion), but I generally get my protein through normal foods. Pamela -102 on a good day

GREAT IDEA !!!! I will split it in half, for my snacks.I get alot of protein from Ibsopure from GNC and the foods I eat.Thanks so much for the advise... Dawn

It should have very few net carbs, though. Something like 2 or 3, so that's not bad at all.
