I'm considering having surgery, and would like any feedback you have heard regarding Dr. Stephen Malley. I'm a new user of the sight and have not searched it entirely, but hope I find some helpful information. I'm very confused right now, but due to my health I am considering it. Thanks for your time and input.

Hi Gina! I just wanted to say hello! I have considered this surgery for over a year now and just recently made up my mind to have it done. I felt that everything was falling into place and I am ready to get on with my life. This site is awesome, I can spend hours here just researching doctors, hospitals and reading profiles. I have learned tons of info, both negative and positive. Another way to get great info is to attend a seminar if your surgeon provides one or a support group meeting. That way, you can talk to real people who have had to procedure. Finally...to try and give you an answer to your question... I haven't read anything on Dr. Malley but there is a section on local bariatric surgeons and if his name is on the list, there will be testimonials you can read. That is how I decided on Dr. Hoehn of The Bariatric Center of KC. (He is actually on the KS list). So maybe if you started there, you could find out some info. Sorry for the novel! Best wishes, Peggy

Hi, Gina. Welcome to the boards. If you read profiles and follow links to different doctors and different surgeries to choose from, you'll have enough to keep busy for quite some time! The links on the left side are a good place to start. It lists surgeons and hospitals and you can read reviews that others have written. It can be confusing, but take your time and do your homework. You'll be so glad you did. Jeanie Duodenal Switch (DS) 02/12/05 Dr. Gary Anthone/Medicare -60 lbs
