My surgery date is May 31st. I've heard that a side effect of the surgery is hair loss. Is that totallly bald? I guess it's a temporary loss.

Yep, it's usually around 3 months post-op that the hair loss starts. No, you don't actually go bald - although some days you think you might! Get in all your protein, take your vitamins and it will eventually subside. Good luck on your upcoming surgery!!!! Traci 250/159/149 only 10 lbs to goal!!

No you wont go totally bald but man you sure feel like that might happen!!! Be very sure to get ALL YOUR PROTIEN.... Dont try and eat your way through the protien, (like I didnt and lost a lot of hair). Good Luck on your up coming date.. I will be looking for you on the losers side very soon!! PS it is temporary loss it will grow back.. SherrieD 10.12.04 start of my new healthier life! 278/196/145ish
