missouri Medicare part a

My stepmom really wants this surgery however her primary insurance does not cover weight loss surgery and she has Medicare part a only. Anyone have any info on if they would cover it?

Part A is for Hospital benefits only. It will pay 80% after annual deductible is met. Check with a MD office insurance person for more specifics. None of the pre testing or outpatient visits are covered under Part A. That is Part B.
