wow cant believe they have closed all of these businesses even courts , in case the storm will hit.
so far all we have had is rain...in just the last few minutes it has started sleeting but the temp is still above freezing here. well lol it has started sleeting here now ...guess i spoke too quick...

Everyone stay inside , there is no job worth getting caught away from home Im sure glad that im not working now. i would have been on a shift tonight and would have gotten caught there....no telling how long i would have been there.  Sorry girls i wish i could help you out.  I just hope we get to leave here Thursday like we had planned...oh well we just wont get to visit with my sister any before we go if we have to wait until Sat or even Sunday to leave here. all we have to be is at the airport in Houston by 2pm on Monday....it will be ok ...have to believe that...Pray that we get out of here.

hope everyones electric stays on....and remember if you use a generator please remember that they need to be in the open not in a closed in garage if you leave your door up i guess it will be ok but be careful....even the state and county offices are closed so there wont be anything else out and running....

love all of you cant wait to get started on our trip .....remember if you want to see the pictures of our trip send me your facebook name on here and i will friend you so you will be able to see them....love and hugs.

It's been crappy here in St. Louis since yesterday.  We got freezing rain on and off most of the afternoon and evening yesterday.  Cody only had half a day of school yesterday and last night at 7:30 they cancelled school for today.  Thankfully our roommate, Kelly, didn't have to go to work today either.  It started sleeting here hours ago and the few cars I've seen driving past the house are doing a lot of sliding.  So all five of us are home today (me, Cody, Michael, Kelly, and her boyfriend, Dave).  The last I looked at the weather map, when this sleet turns over to snow Maryland Heights is supposed to be in the 16 to 20 inch range of snow.  They even added us in the blizzard warning.  So it looks like we all might be home for several days.  We did the shopping the other day so we have plenty of food.  Hopefully we won't lose electricity.  I did manage to convince my mom to leave her house though and go to my Aunt and Grandma's house.  At least if they lose electricity there it won't be for long.  The last big storm in '06 we lost electricity at Mom's house for a week and a half which is no fun with a septic tank and well.

Jan I'm certainly hoping you are able to get out for your trip on time.  You should be able to get to Houston by Monday.  I will certainly pray that you do.  I know you have been looking forward to this trip.  I am definantly wanting to see pics of your trip.  My name on facebook is Deanna Barnett (Deanna Roark) or the direct link to my profile page is http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/profile.php?id=578727332   Anyone who would like to add me can feel free to do so.  Just be sure to put OH MO forfum on the request so I know who you are.

Well, I hope everyone is staying safe and warm.  Have a great day and remember a good snowball fight is excellent exercise.

My office closed today.  First time that's ever happened.  We left at 3:00 yesterday, but the roads were fine.  It's snowing and blowing here.  Our snow shovel is in the shed.  Not sure I'm going to trudge out there to get it.  Would be a waste of time to shovel now.

I was sent some jobs to do and I hope they don't send me any more.  I want to go thru my closet and pull out anything I don't want.  The DAV is coming by Friday to pick up and I want to get things out for them.

I'm making Chili for dinner.  I made a new recipe for Banana Bread and it was one of the best I've ever made.  Thursday night I'm taking treats for my Bible class so I'm making another loaf of the bread for that.  Think I'll also take some healthy roll ups.

Jan, hope all goes well for you and your trip.

Jan, I have mixed emotions about your trip. I will pray for your safety and hope you have a good time but, I am worried you will like enough to not come back. I can't believe you even think of it. What would make you do that. Sorry, I sound like I am scolding you. I am not, I just feel like I am losing good friends. There I go again. Worrying...Hubby says I worry about what I'm going  to worry about next.

We have about 16" of snow here. Hubby is on 71 highway plowing. Hate when he has to be on the highway. He only has two more hours and then he can come home where he can be warm and safe.

Just remember Jan, I really consider you one of my closest friends.

Love ya
Barbara

Barbara even if we love it totally we will be back and will come back often....if we go there and buy we will be considered residents and can get plane tickets for half price so we will be back often and will make a point of seeing you...I consider you one of my best friends too sweetie. ...
Am praying for your husbands safety. tonight and hope he will be home with you for the rest of the night.
and when your hubby retires you all can get your passports and come stay with us ....all your vacation would cost you would be your plane ticket...that would be fun to explore together....
