Well everyone or rather NO ONE  posted a thing yesterday and i can see that a lot of you read .....oh well . don't know why i continue to take you all not posting as an affront to me but on some level i do i guess. uh oh my insecurities are showing  lol ....never mind  me guys ..i do this cause i like to and when i dont want to i dont ...so carry on post when you want to and when you dont you dont have to either lol

today i have to go get my final check at work...i know im going to sneak in and out...everytime i see anyone at work they start in , wish you would come back , when do you think you will be back . so it gets a little crazy sometimes.

once i get my check they should have my w-2 in there so i can get my income tax filed and any refunds sent to our checking account. so wont have to worry about that either.
also have to go do something with all our mail so i can keep up with that. .
have to talk to the bank to find out for sure about the ATMs and Ecuador...i know they will work just wondering how much the charges will be. whew....lots to do and not a lot of time yet to do it.

cant wait to get to South America and all the fresh fish, shrimp , seafood, veggies and fruits. Joe and I plan on really doing a lot of detoxing ourselves and eating lots of extra fruits and veggies ...and also a lot of walking...cant wait.

talk to you all later hope you have a good day again.... is suppose to be in the 40s again here today...so far not any sun but hopefully there will be soon. ...

I read your message yesterday, but I didn't have anything of importance to talk about.  I'm sending you a package today.  You should feel flattered that your former co-workers want you back.

I would love the fresh fish, fruits and veggies too.  The warm climate would be so nice.  This cold weather is awful.

We looked at a retirement village but the homes are too small and no storage.  The closets are very small.  Not enough room for our furniture.  We have settled on an apartment home and it is beautiful, large rooms and 2 walk-in closets.  I'm a little overwhelmed with all that needs to be done.  They have an apt. coming up in March and Max wants to take it, but I can't be ready by then.  We have a ton of stuff to sell.

Max is having knee surgery tomorrow.  Hope this takes care of the pain.

Nice to hear about Jeannie.  She certainly is a success story.

lol Jo as you can tell by my post sometimes i dont have anything to say either lol but on and on i go anyway...
is the apartment home in a retirement village too? sounds like fun really wont have all that maintence to keep up with...
tell Max that no matter how much it hurts that the re hab after is the main thing a bout knee surgery and wheather it will eliminate the pain or not....good luck ....

maybe take the new apartment and only what you really want and then call in an auction company and have them to get all the rest of it together for selling....they do good most of the time you come out ahead of trying to sell stuff yourself.
If you want to know a name of am auctioneer i know one , just kidding. but my brother is a great one...

The apartment isn't a retirement center.  I decided I don't want to live with the elderly even though some would consider me to be elderly.  I prefer all ages around me.

I want all my furniture so the stuff we have to sell is lawn equipment, ladders, a grill and smoker, a gas dryer, microwave and not sure what else.  Not enough for an auction but more than I want to deal with.

Jo put all the lawn equiptment on Craigs list....people that work outside a lot look for this kind of stuf this time of year....cause people will price it a little cheaper....so really i f you find the right person you can probably sell it all at once.  I bought a couple of years ago about 500 dollars worth of lawn stuff for about 150 so that is one place or just put it up on bullentin boards. in gro stores and such ,,,,so now ive got all your stuff sold lol  or load it all up and take it to a pawn shop and sell it to them  that is the fast way.

hope Max will be ok with surgery.

If lurking is bad, I'm the worst.....I read nearly every day but never add anything. I love keeping up with you all and knowing how you are.
I am happy for Jeannie! What a miracle story she has. I can't wait to see her again.
Jo, Wow, your adventure is coming right up!!! Sounds like so much fun! I spent some time in Panama and loved it. Really hot which was miserable before surgery but sounds mighty good now!
I dream of a home without maintenance sometimes. We have a 7 acre farm and it is a lot of work. I think we should have just stayed as terminal renters so we could call someone when somethings needs fixing instead of being theone getting the calls. We still have the house we moved out of four years ago.....it is a pain to be a landlord.
My weight loss is slow but steady so I am happy. I am battling with the binge demons. There are some times I just want to eat and am not happy unitl I feel miserable. I am addressing this with the SW at Dr Edward's office adn she gave me some tips adn places to go for additional info and assistance. I am so sad to be facing this again. I hoped the surgery would put an end to it once adn for all.
Life is very very full here these days. Busy at work and with volunteer jobs, my kids are living full days with busy schedules so I keep on a runnin, speaking of runnin, I wanna. I'm going to try the couch to 5K program. Should be interesting, I am making my teenage son train me!!!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

Cheryl such a bad girl all that lurking isnt good for you you know. lol  i wish i had you girls  determination about writing down every thing you eat. i just cant make myself do it. i have tried and tried...
Cheryl dont feel bad about your eating problems returning....honey they operated on your stomach not on your head....the only way to overcome that is to find out why and face it down ...all of us that were obese have had demons in our lifes that caused us to over eat.
you know those problems dont seem as bad if you can weight them down with food...but when the food amount isnt as much then all those old feelings start coming back , and the bad thing is we arent even aware of what the most of them are just know we dont feel good soooooooooo what have we always done to make ourselves feel better ??????? you got it EAT  and so we eat but because we have a smaller stomach it just makes us feel bad so we EAT some more cause we feel bad and we EAT. well you can see where im going with this...

the training for a 5K sounds like lots of fun and will take your mind off of the over eating....but one day you and all of us will have to face our deamons at least if you want to get it right that is.

I'm still alive and kicking though I'm still fighting this sinus crud.  I may end up having to go to the doctor but that is such a chore I hope to avoid it.  Cody finally made it home last night.  It was so quiet for four days without him but he had a blast.  I'm still doing good with my eating and keeping track of my food intake honestly.  I think this is the longest I've ever kept track of my foods honestly.  I'm real bad about lying to myself.  But no more!!! It just doesn't get me anywhere except for heavier.  Jan, it sounds like you are going to have such a wonderful time on your trip.  I'm so jealous!!  Most days I barely get out of this house.  All those fresh foods sound so wonderful and good for you too, lol.  I still haven't been able to weigh but I feel like I'm going down so for now I have to be content with that.  My mom is supposed to be bringing my scale when she comes to get Cody on Friday so hopefully I will be able to weigh then.  Well, I have to get moving.  I have so much to do......cleaning house, laundry, etc.  Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!!!

Deanna, tracking everything you eat is so important.  Sunday I started writing down what I'm eating and being really honest about it.  So, if I bite it.....I write it.  I don't eat much at a meal, but snacking can get out of control.  Several times I've not eaten something this week just because I don't want to write it down.  Also, no secret eating.  If I don't want anyone to see me eating it, I shouldn't eat it.

Didn't your son go see Ozzie Osburn?  The review in the local paper was really bad, but it usually is.  I know I wouldn't want to hear Ozzie but apparently many people do.

Yes Jo, writing what you eat and being honest about it is very important.  I have also started weighing and measuring my food again.  I had gotten real bad about my portions again and that helps me get back on track.  My thinking has always been if I didn't write it down I didn't eat it.  I know now I was only trying to fool myself and that's getting me nowhere.

Yes, Cody went to see Ozzy Osbourne with my brother as his birthday present.  He had a great time.  I haven't talked to my brother yet but I'm sure he had a great time too.  They love Ozzy so I think it would be real difficult for them not to enjoy it.  Especially since they had second row seats!!!
