GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
It's snowing in Raytown....whoopppie. Not sure it is downtown KC. I'm not close to a window.
Jan, I have some protein powder in individual packets I want to send to you. I don't like the flavors. I can mail them Monday if you would like them and you will still be here to receive them. I also have a WLS magazine.
You asked yesterday if I could stand the GF living in my house with her mess. She could put her boxes in the garage and since I wouldn't be living there I would probably be ok with it. I'm not understanding why he stays with her, but I keep quiet. It's his business. She has a storage she she pays $60 a month for and has no clue what in the boxes. Then she has boxes in the house. She keeps making excuses for not taking care of the mess. She is really very lazy.
The court was pretty harsh considering he wasn't driving although it was assumed he intended to drive and there were no injuries or damage. Kansas is clamping down on DUI's. They are proposing a law that if a person gets a 4th DUI they will go to prison. Fortunately, Greg never injured anyone but he could have. No one should drink and drive.
The prosecutor wanted him to serve 180 days in jail and fined $3,000. His attorney ask for 2 days in jail and 3 days house arrest and a fine but I don't know how much. He is doing community service at Wayside Waifs for that. He can't have any motorized vehicle in his name so he has to transfer ownership to someone else or they will impound his car and he will libel for fees for storage. He's also to get a job within 90 day, but that may be difficult since he can't drive. If he can find something in Raytown, he can walk or Max will drive him.
Greg is really down and I understand. It is harsh punishment, but it's a lesson learned. A lot of people in his cir****tances wind up homeless and have no support. He's got a roof over his head and plenty of food plus people that care about him and want to help him.
We won't be moving to the retirement center in Raytown. We were told the owner would work with us to make it affordable. We told him we could pay $850/month but he wants $1,085. He will waive the security deposit of $1,050. No deal. The place doesn't have a dishwasher. I just got a portable and could take it, but it would be crowded. I really want out of RT. Tomorrow we're going to look at a place in Grain Valley which is east of us and close to Blue Springs where we used to live and we love the area. They have a DW and a built in microwave. My niece and sister live there. Max wouldn't be a gofer for his daughter.
Deanne, hope you get to your appointment okay and you get good results. I need to schedule a mamogram.
