RUN HARD, JUST TO SHUT DOWN

Good evening OH,

Right now wish I were in Missouri, we were under a just in time load going to Loredo, TX, for the second time this week. Made it as far as South Carolina and stopped to fuel, were wondering why we weren't seeing any north bound trucks, as I85 is one of the major corridors for truck traffic. After we got fuel my trainer was talking to anothe driver and he said I85 was shut down all the way to Atlanta GA. So we are sitting again. The good thing is we are still under to load to Loredo, just need to wait for the roads to unfreeze.

Jan~I do get  enough protein, am suplimenting with protein bars and nuts during the day or when I'm driving. They are easy to eat and satisfy the need to chew something crunchy.

I sure hope the house thing works out for you, but I would be a little apprehensive if they were already doing things to the house.

Well I'm tired and want to go to bed so I can be fresh to drive in the morning.

Love all of you, maybe I will be in the area for the COF meeting.

HUGS

Jeanie,

Hi - I bet the weather is still better there than in North Missouri. We've had about 4 inches today and I had to cancel a meeting in St.Louis because I couldn't get from up here to down there! I 've followed your story a bit as I'm new on here - it sounds like you're doing great. Keep out of the nasty weather and enjoy your training.

Once you get your own route do you drive alone, or with someone? Are you gonna be on the same type trips, or new destinations all the time?

Jane

Hi Jane,

We made it as far as Georgia, but it's worse here cause they don't have the equipment to treat the roads, it iced yesterday and last night in Atlanta, the roads are litterally closed down around the city. At least in Missouri you can usually move after a storm the next day. Oh well guess that's the breaks. I will drive solo after my training for at least 6 months, then I plan to train for awhile and see how it works for me. I am going to do all 48 states for the first 6 months then I will check out the dedicated runs in the midwest and see if one of them will be good for me.

How are you doing? I have been reading the board, but my memory isn't as good as it used to be.

Need to go, am eating the first meal of the day and then I need to get some sleep.

Be good and HUGS

Jeanie,

Hope the weather broke for you - saw all the ice down there on the news when I was out of town yesterday (we don't have a tv at home - I know we're weirdos). Keep us updated on how you're doing - and take care of your health first!
