Had gastric bypass in 2006, lost over 100 lbs, had baby right at end of 18 month window, so never reached my goal weight for me, still trying to lose another 50 lbs and thinking of having revision done. looking to meet others in st louis area that had surgery for support/talks/hang outs/etc....just needing to connect with others who understand the weight loss struggle...thanks all

Howdy!!! and welcome to the MO Forum.  You will find a great group of people here who are very supportive.  OH in general is a great resource.  

I had gastric bypass on 4/4/06 and I had Dr. Richardson too.  Over the first year, I lost almost 200 pounds.  Then over time I gained 75 pounds of that back.  I have managed over the last year to lose 35 of that but now I have really gotten myself in gear and am serious about getting this weight back off.  Right now I am without transportation but wouldn't mind talking via phone, email, text, whatever.  Just let me know. 

There are a few of us here in the STL area. All different stages of the journey! I know how hard it is for me after one year to watch my eating, so I can't imagine what adding a pregnancy would do to that!

wow sounds like you all have the start of a good support group....and that is what makes it good , that  everyone is at different stages of the game. young learn from the old but the old learn from the young too lol good luck on all of you getting together

I am 4 weeks from surgery and planning to stock up on approved foods, vitamins, protein etc.  What is the favorite of everyone?  I live South of St, Louis and have GNC nearby.  Not many places carry what is on the list,.  Will have to order online.  What do you all recommend?
