WH ATS HAPPENING FRIDAY
Finally having a guy coming out today to cut the two tall elm trees in the front yard. ...they have gotten so big in the last 10 years that they are dangerous. one of them leans over the top of the house and wouldnt you know it it is the one that is split in the trunk...hope it isnt too cold for the tree trimmer. But he promised he would be here unless it is extreemly windy or storming...
well papers to be signed were postponed again. im getting really tired of this , dont understand what the problem is for signing those papers......i just wonder what ....maybe they dont have the down payment money that could be. I called them and they wouldnt answer their phone. I told them in a message that if they didnt want to buy it they can still rent but will have to be more than the house payment they wanted because if we rent it there has to be enough to pay the insurance and taxes..they dont seem to want it now but they keep working on it lo i also told them that if they dont want the house quit doing things to it as if it were theirs....told them i cant repay them for any of it.
today was day two on the all liquids ...i did cheat a little i cooked a deer roast and just had to have a bite of it ...but that is what i had just one tiny bite. but am feeling a little lighter lol ....dreaming i think but got to get back into those 10s....sure wish when they operate on your tummy they did something to your brain too.
well kiddos got to get to bed ...it is already 2 am and i hope i can sleep tonight. good night peeps

Working at home today - no outside meetings. Picked up another foster dog from the shelter in Columbia so will be keeping an eye on this youngster today since he was neutered yesterday. He's a cute, sweet, friendly, playful english pointer pup (6 mos). Beautiful thing. My dogs are getting along o.k. with him. Mostly they handle fosters well, but this guy is pretty high energy, so we'll see.
Had my 1 month plus checkup (almost 7 weeks now) and everything went fine. I'm down to 196 on my scale, doc's office has me at 202. Said I'd lost 16 lbs since the first checkup (2 weeks out). Was suggested to start weight lifting to help lose faster as well as to tone me up. Guess I'll be checking out the YMCA. Just wish I had a workout partner, that would make it a lot easier for me.
Will try some Unjury protein that I ordered yesterday after advice on the board here. Boy, I just can't seem to stomach the protein drinks. Maybe with a "chocolate" flavor I will do better.
Nothing else exciting here, will take down tree and Christmas stuff this weekend. Had a great visit with family and friends for a 3-day rabbit hunt and then took our "kids" to a hunt farm and let the niece and nephews shoot some chukar and quail. Dogs had a blast!
Ya'll take care out there.

What a bummer that those people are dragging out the sale of the house. Odd that they are doing things to it but won't finalize the sale.
I'm doing well with eating. My rule for office food is don't eat it. Most of what is brought in for meetings is bad for you. I always think about people handling things like cookies and brownies and no telling when they washed their hands. I got in a bad habit of eating this and that and many times I suffered for it. My pouch doesn't like sugar.
Glad it's Friday.

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:
Boy, it's been a very busy day for me today! Had 14 vials of blood taken this morning. Then went to Walmart. Then home and have the makings of home made chicken stock in my 18 quart Nesco. Also have a 9 lb turkey breast cooking in my convention oven. (I've had this double oven for over 2 years and have never used the convention oven) so we will see how it turns out. I've also fried the hot Italian sausage I need to put on top of the stuffed shells I'm making for dinner tonight. Luke goes back to college Sunday and I've tried to cook all the meals he has requested. The stuffed shells is the only one I hadn't got to yet. I'll only have 1 shell so shouldn't be too bad for me. I decided to take an hour or so and just have some down time! lol!
Those of you who are doing the 5 day pouch test have inspired me. That's the primary reason I'm making home made chicken stock, the 2 roasting chickens and the turkey breast. I'm hoping to start the 5 day pouch test on Sunday 1/16. Have too much stuff going on this next week (Jake turns 16 a week from today!) and trying to get my closet organized and get ready for the Microsoft Office Class I start on the 20th. If I start on the 16th the last day of the test will be the day I start my class. Should be okay, I'm thinking. I've gained 18 lbs and would like to lose at least 15 of that! I've started back (today) on at least 2 protein shakes a day. My hairdresser says my hair is the worst she's ever seen it. I know it's from lack of protein and my thyroid may have something to do with that too. Will see what all that lab-work I had done today shows. My next apt with Dr. H is Tuesday 1/18.
We're also in the process of getting bids to replace our roof. I knew it needed to replaced for awhile now but my DH just kept ignoring it. I finally insisted HE call a roofer. Sure enough we have a lot of wind and hail damage. Insurance adjuster came out and they are going to pay for a new roof plus new gutters!! PTL! We still will have to pay a pretty hefty deductible but it's a lot less than it would be for an entire new roof and guttering system! Hope to have the last bid by this afternoon. David and I will go over them this weekend. There is one that offers the most and has the best price. Plus they are in Overland Park, rated A+ with the Better Business Bureau and have received the top roofing company award in the kc metro area for the last 2 years. But like I said we still have one more bid that hasn't come in yet. I just want the roof done before the really bad weather gets here!
David is still working as a 1099 contractor. The job was suppose to end the middle of December and now they're saying the end of March. David has a couple of really good job prospects that should be opening up within the next couple of months. We are still trusting the Lord to take care of us and to provide David with the best job he's ever had! I have to believe God is still on his throne and He is still in control. Don't get me wrong, it's been a long 2 years and we are so tired of struggling. It feels like our live has been put on "pause" for the past 2 years. God is teaching me patience, preservance and that He is with us even in the "pauses" of life!
We still have a little bit of $$ of David's mother's estate but that won't last but another year or so the way it's going. David works the hardest he has ever worked and is getting paid the least! I know he is disheartened. Please keep us in your prayers.
Mama Jan - I'll be praying those people buy that rental house like they've agreed to do and that you all can get all the paperwork signed so you and Joe go on your adventure! Please remember your laptop and digital camera! I expect to read and see all about your adventure. Sure wish I could tag along! lol Seriously, enjoy your vacation, you and Joe deserve it!!
G.I. Jane - Where do you live? I would love to be your workout partner! I know it would really help to keep me on track. I am going to start walking at the gym at least 3 times a week. Also have a free session with their trainer which I've never taken advantage of. I'm going to try and set it up sometime next week. I have absolutely no body strength!! Gotta get myself back in some sort of shape. Congrats on the weight loss, it only gets better!
Jo - I'll try and call you sometime soon about that Precept Study in Lee's Summit. Did you get the Inductive Study Bible yet? If you haven't, there's a lady on EBay that sales the hardback ones for like $28 and that includes s&h. The hardback ones at the stores are over $50! I have never bought a hard back one but I think I'm going to on this one.
Mo Peeps - Hope all of you have a GREAT weekend.
Love all of you!

Hi Jan and the rest of my fellow losers. Today was a good day. I'm still on track. I did have one slip up today food wise. I was cooking dinner and moved something and saw a package of mini marshmellows. Before I knew it I was eating a big old handful of them. I did stop eating them and threw the rest away. I was honest on my food log though and did put them down. I have to be honest with myself. Cooking dinner is a hard time for me because I got into a bad habit of nibbling while I cooked.
There's not too much else going on around here. My mom did run me to the grocery store today and I made some healthy choices and found myself looking at food labels again. Cody is with my mom this weekend (he is most weekends). It gives Michael and I some alone time and give Mom her grandma time. She really looks forward to it. We lived with her for so long that she gets real lonely being the only one in the house now. Michael and I don't really have anything planned this weekend. Money is short this month with it being a long 5 week month (we only get paid once a month). But just spending time together is all I really need. Hope everyone had a wonderful day and has a fantastic weekend. Keep the faith, we can all do this!!!
P.S. Forgot something. I got good news today. To save money Michael called the company that handles transportation for his insurance to schedule a ride to his doctor appt. next week. I was kinda bummed that we couldn't afford to take the bus so that I could go with him because they let me use their scale. When he scheduled the pick-up he found out that I can go along!! YEAH!!!! Now I will get to weigh in and see if all this hard work is paying off.
