whats happening Christmas eve
I am not planning on hitting the roads so let it snow, a white christmas is always nice.
I hope everyone has a wonderful and merry Christmas and a happy new year with stockings stuffed with protein and vitamins.
Hi, Suzie & MO Peeps:
It's been a busy but good Christmas Eve. I baked one batch of peanut butter blossom cookies, fudge with walnut and almond bark dipped pretzel. Can only eat a few bites but my boys love it. I'm not much of a baker but decided I'd bake just a few items today. We had my Mom & Dad over for nachos and tacos for dinner. Dear Hubby made them. I so appreciate his willingness to jump in and help me.
Tomorrow my step children and their families will be here for our traditional Christmas Dinner - Spiral Cut Ham and all the trimmings. Everything is pretty well done. Shouldn't be too much work to finish things up. David's Dad and Step Mom are suppose to drive up from Stockton, MO. We have no snow so far but it is freezing rain. I doubt they'll make it but we will see.
I'll bet the residents and bosses are glad Mama Jan is willing to work tonight and tomorrow. I'm sure she does a GREAT job with those residents. They'll miss her here in a few weeks when she's quit.
Suzy - I'm with you - staying home. Am worried about the kids driving out on the roads. Their not too far from us and hopefully the roads will be treated by the time they head this way.
LeanMama - what's your name? The shrimp you mentioned sounds GREAT! It's delicious and is a great source of protein too! Sounds like you've got everything under control.
Mama Jan - Hope you and Jo enjoy your Christmas. The trip you're planning sounds great! Be sure to take lots of pics and post them while you're gone! Be safe travel ling!
Lovely Lana - Hope you and yours have a Merry Christmas! Sorry to hear about that guy you mentioned to passed away from not taking care of yourself. I think we all sometimes forgot just how important it is taking our vitamins, our yearly apt with our surgeon, our bi annual blood work and getting in all our protein. It is VITAL that we follow the guidelines!! Will be praying for him and his family.
MO Peeps - I know there are a lot of you out there who are guilty, just as I am, reading Mama Jan's daily what's happening post and not posting. Let's all try to get back on here and actually POST! We won't want this board to die like so many of the other boards have!
Merry Christmas to all of you! Remember to wish Jesus' a Happy Birthday! Love all of you!
