sorry i didnt get on here today but this is the first time ive had a spare minute , no really ...we are having our Christmas with the kids this weekend and i have been busy. my granddaughter and her family came down today and so got busy with them.....been making up all the things that are normal...my son is diabetic and so i am making he and I some carmel apple salad which is all sugar free so we can have something good that isnt something that will make us sick....lol

the person that bought big red came after her today, sure did hate to see her go but know that my fixing her up to her original state and cost too much. so glad this guy is able to get her and fix her up...you should see the house he is putting it in...is an old red school house with the bell tower on top...they have been renovating it ...use the old wooden flooring that was there they took it out and had it replaned and put it back in....so the big red Chambers cook stove will look so so pretty in there...so in place like she has gone home lol

we had an awesome COF meeting the other night...we had 2 older post ops , two that were getting close to a year out, 2 that are 6 weeks out and one new girl that is pre op....Welcome Dawn it was so great to meet you and i know you will do just great.   cant wait to see you again.

Good Morning OH,

Am still fighting this cold, feeling better but not sleeping too well. Am taking generic Nyquil, and it helps, but my sinuses are draining and I keep waking up coughing.

What a great COF meeting on Friday. I had to leave a little early, had only had three hours sleep in 24. Had to pick-up and deliver a Movie on Thursday night, didn't get back home and in bed til 1:30 a.m. and had to get up at 4:30 to be in school on time.

About school, I have a Job. Will do the driving and skills part of the CDL this week and when I have the CDL in my hands will go to Omaha on Sunday. Go to orientation on Monday and Tuesday, then will be on a Trainer Truck for 2 to 3 weeks. After that will be assigned my own Truck. I am going to be OTR for 6 months, then will go into the Training Program. I think with 27 years of driving experience I can help put some safer drivers out on the road. Am really loving the change taking place in my life, but at the same time it is overwhelming at times.

Jan~have a good Holday get together with your Family. I personally am so grateful that my family is as close as we are, I think God has blessed me way more than I deserve.

Susie~I'm happy to hear your brother is doing better, he will have a long recovery, but God can and does work miracles. Am keeping him in my prayers.

I am still groggie and need to go back to sleep for a couple of hours, this cold is kicking my rear. Love you all and will try to post more. I do manage to read most days, but my hours are so long and I'm working super hard at backing and driving the trucks they assigned us, don't have much energy left at the end of the day. Plus we are having memorize the whole Pre-trip inspection of a combination vehicle and that means writing the whole thing out in our own hand witing and since there a 150 parts of a combination vehicle to inspect that makes for a lot of home work. LOL Didn't do this much homework when I was in Springfield College taking MIBC.

Love you all and after I get my truck assignment for Werner, will be able to keep up with the board better.

Lots of HUGS to all of you.

Jan~Actually will be Training, student drivers that have just gotten out of school. Trainers are the ones that help the companies put safer drivers out there. So will be teaching with my experience from driving before.

Don't usually eat in the truck stops. Will have a slow cooker, small Electric Skillet and a micro wave with me on my own truck. Also will keep lots of protein powder. Will be taking my lap top with me, and just ordered my cell with a little bit of web access so I can check my e-mails, will have texting so can keep in touch that way. Will stay out as long as possible at first, so I can get the bills paid off. Then will try to get home about every 3 weeks of so.

Winter is here even if the calender doesn't say so. We had maybe an inch of snow but there are drifts maybe six inches or more. Its defiantly cold enough.

Nothing new to report on my brother, he is still on the vent but holding his own. I know the prayers are helping him. He is still heavily sedated but I am hoping they will cut back on it soon . I know he is in a lot of pain and it shows in his face but he has nodded in response to questions when they cut back the meds so that is a good sign.

My iron levels feel like they are dropping but I haven't had them rechecked. I am taking pills but the last week I have felt like I had no energy. I am going to call the doctor Monday just to make sure.It could just be stress.

Stay inside and warm if you can.
Susie
