Yes, I remember be there or be square. Wish I could be there.  Max has a hockey game tonight so I will take Greg to his recovery meeting.  I won't stay like Max does.  I'm sure he wouldn't really want his mom going with him.  Not sure if Barb will pick him up tonight or tomorrow or at all.  She has serious issues.  I think she is deeply depressed.  The doctor put her on Cymbalta last week, but she hasn't gone to work all week, keeps coming up with one thing after another that's wrong.  Her father told her he wants nothing to do with her since she hasn't done anything they asked her to do.

Tomorrow evening I'm watching my niece's children.  I'm taking them out to eat, probably Pizza Street.  Then I'm going to drive around and look at Christmas lights.

I did put up my little 4' tree but so far haven't gotten out any decorations.  Guess I should do that this weekend.  I've felt so crummy that all I want to do when I get home is sit.  Guess I'm going to have to see an allergist about my stuffy nose.

Jan, your employer needs to do direct deposit.  Handing out pay checks is so outdated.

Mama Jan & MO Peeps:

Decided to use red fonts, just seems more like Christmas!  Reminds me not only of Christs' Birth but of the true reason he came. To shed his blood for all of us - even though not all will accept his gift to us.

Well, since no one called me to sub today, I decided to take my "girls" to the vets.   They are officially caught up on all their shots and don't have to go bac****il 12/2011.  Since Sophie is 2 years younger than Roxie, it took us awhile to get them on the same immunization schedule.  I also bought 8 months of front line (bought 6 and got 2 free) and I bought 6 months of Heart-guard.  As I posted on my FB page, I think my pocketbook is still sore! lol!  But at least that's done.  Thinking that's going to be their Christmas present.  Probably will buy them a special treat of some sort.  There's a Barkery in Olathe that sells homemade doggie treats.  They love them so will go in and get them something the week of Christmas.

Today I'm hoping to get my Christmas Cards addressed.  I bought the photo cards from JC Penny's when we had our pictures taken.  Last time I did that was about 3 years ago. I actually put in a Christmas Letter with the cards, not doing it this year.  Just don't have the time or desire.

Interesting thing happened this morning.  While I was gone the Principal at one of the
Middle Schools here in town called and left me a message on my home number.  He even left his cell phone number.  I called him, however, he asked if he could call me back in 15 minutes.  That's been almost an hour ago.  Wonder what he wants?  I know he's got his plate full  because it was one of his 7th grade students who died in a bad car accident earlier this week. DH knows this young girl's Dad.  This guy's 13 year old daughter dies, his wife and other child are hospitalized in 2 different hospitals.  The driver who hit them was a 64 year old man and passed away the next day.  They think there was a 3rd car who the truck swerved to miss and he hit another car.  The 3rd car apparently drove away.  Please keep all of the families involved in your prayers.  This is the 3rd child who has died in our school district since September.  First one was 17 years old young man died in a car accident, second one was a 7 year old boy who darted out from the sidewalk into traffic right after school and now this car accident.  We are still a small town community.  Seems we've been hit hard these past few months.

Mama Jan - how I wish I could make it to Springfield to the COF meeting tonight!  Would love to see you and the others!  Been too long since I've hugged that sweet neck of yours!

Jeanie - Way To Go Girl!  I love reading your posts about going back to truck driving school!  I'm with Suzie on when she said "It won't be long before you have to beat those "boys" off with a stick!"  lol!  Keep up the good work!

Suzie - I'm sorry to hear about your brother's long road of recovery ahead of him.  Thankful that his brain is okay though.  My DH had a severe closed head injury back n 1992 from a 20 foot oak tree limb falling 30 feet to the ground and hitting him in his head.  We went through some hard years after that.  Thankfully, God is Good and David has pretty much recovered.  Although, I don't think he'll ever be exactly the same as he was before the accident.
Will continue to keep your brother in my prayers.

Jo - glad to hear your son's doing well.  Will continue to keep him in my prayers.

Barbara S. - I know you read the posts.  I'm praying for you and what you're dealing with a well.  You know I'm usually available. Maybe you and I and whoever around KC would like to join us, could meet for lunch sometime soon?  Love you hon!

MO Peeps - Hope you all have a great weekend.  Tell the people who you love that you love them.  You are never guaranteed another day.

Love all of you!

They took the chest tube out and had my brother sitting in a chair for a while yesterday. He is still heavily sedated and most likely didn't even know it. They are trying to wean him off the vent and he handled a few hours on his own. They are keeping him so sedated because of the pain he is in but he will have to come off all that soon. He is going to have a long recovery but will recover so that is a blessing. I am not sure when I will go back out there.

I have been gone so much from home lately I do not want to leave the house. I am tired also, guess its the iron levels. I am taking pills but do not think they are working.

I won't make it to the meeting tonight but wish I could.

Hope you have a great turnout. Anyone have an update on William? I sure hope things are better for him.

Here comes winter they say so enjoy today.
Susie
