New to the Board

Hi ladies,

I'm a Missouri (transplanted from New Mexico) gal who has just had RNY here in Columbia. I'd like to join the board. I see you gals keep up with one another and it sure seems like you provide support.

It sounds like it's been a tough year for many on this site - with the motorcycle accident and so many recent deaths. I'll put ya'll in my prayers and will try to be an active member of this board.

Jane so glad to see you here and welcome to the board....I hope that you will feel welcome and wanted as we all love to see newbies on here. so many come on once or twice and then never to hear of them again. i think of all of them often and where they are and how they are doing.   
this really does require support from others that know where you are and how you are feeling. so if you have a problem or a question ask away. we have a lot of people that have probably been in the same place you are.....

Welcome to Missouri and the Missouri board.  This is a really nice group.  When did you have your surgery?  I had mine July 8, 2008, and it was the best thing I could have done.

I live in Raytown which is in the Kansas City area.

It'll be two weeks on Friday. So far, I've lost about 20lbs. Wow!

I live north of Columbia.

Welcome! I am just 3 days ahead of you. I had my surgery done in Columbia as well. Congrats on the weight loss. it is exciting to see he weight finally coming off and better yet to get to give away those clothes that are getting too big! LOL
Appreciate your prayers.. some days can't get through with out them!

 Welcome to the board.  We are here if you need to vent or ask questions. We are not experts but since we are going thru the same thing we can compare notes.

Welcome , I am not here that often like to stop in every now and then . The women on here are wonderful they are always there to help you out they have helped me alot . There are three or four of them that are regulars and they are wonderful and they know who they are. Good luck to you and stay positive .
