WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

Well today starts Deer Season   lots of gun shots in the woods this morning. but not as many as usual on the first day of the season....Im off work today and the Deer Hunters supper is at the Old schoolhouse  tonightadition in this area for over 40 years.  it started out with everyone coming together on this night and bringing a dish, now it is catered and they charge 6.00 a person for the food . they have a raffle and silent auction and all sorts of stuff to raise extra money for the vol fire dept.  they keep the trucks runing and radios and the fire suits , stuff like that ....Last year there were over 600 people at the supper and they said they expect closer to 1000 this year. wow...lots of people for that little school house but they have built a huge big new garage on the back for the fire  trucks and that is where it will be now i think...
Im looking forward to going tonight...i dont see some of these people but once a year so i enjoy seeing them again.

Joe got me some bales of hay yesterday so guess i will get out there and  get it put on a few of the bushes that they say cant live thru the winter here in this area,. they say that my pineapple sage cant live over the winter here even covered with straw....but mine does....it has gone from a tiny little plant to this year was about 6 feet wide and about that tall...coved with little red flowers it is a sight to see. just wi**** bloomed earlier in the year.  when it is blooming the yellow butterflies just love it and it will almost look like it is yellow till you walk by it and the yellow flies off lol ....this is a bush i have beside the pathway so when you walk by it you brush up against it and it gives off this wonderful aroma of pineapple. you can use the leaves in tea and the pretty little red flowers look and taste really pretty in fruit salad. love this plant.

Also have another plant i need to dig this morning . I have had a hose dripping water on it for 3 days it should be fairly easy to dig now. we still didnt get much rain. i think we have gotten 1/2 inch over several days just drizzle here and there. would be ok if it would drizzle harder and for longer....all of the trees and bushes need a good drink before the ground gets frozen.....sure will hate it if i lose some of my things next spring...

we are getting very anxious to get out of here right after Christmas. Have been checking the price of the flight from Houston to Ecuador....daily it sure goes up and down. so far the cheapest we have seen it was 512 apiece round trip....it gets cheaper on Wed nights isnt that weird.

Next week we have to finish up the yard work and would like to get the Christmas lights up on the house on some pretty day...not today is for sure it is cold out there...temp here is 43 but the wind is blowing and it is cloudy .
Well better get busy....got a lot to accomplish today , dont know how much i will get done. it is so cold outside  to me....but it is suppose to be close to freezing at night all this week so need to get  the things done .....love you all talk later.

Hi Jan.... Yes Gail is doing alot better but still has his days.... Laura My sis n law had the surgery a week after me... she is still struggling with weightloss and is very malnurished. they did put the feeding tube in for about a month ... she was still losing weight with it plus it had started having blood drain from it so they removed it..hopefully she will get it figured out someday..
