So where were all of you yesterday? Cat must have had your tongue.lol ....I didnt get a whole lot done yesterday for sure.....after working all i did i slept most of the day away and rested the rest of it lol ....i have lots of energy most of the time until i run completly out and then i have to take about 24 hours of re charging to get back to normal....and after resting most of the day yesterday and sleeping  hours straight last night ,,,im backkkkk. lol i feel like i could climb a mountain today if there was one to climb...think Joe and I will go down on the sandbar and walk later on today to see what we can find. they find lots of indian artifacts down there when the water is low....

we need to get some of the leaves out and away from the front of the house this morning and going to clean out ponds and clean pumps etc ...no need to have the one in the front running right now it will get loaded with leaves..... the tree guy is suppose to come soon and cut those two pesky elms....wi**** would be before they throw all of their leaves down.

i looked up online about freezing sweet potatoes and they say it is ok so we will see.   when i go to town i need to get some more seal a meal baggies to put them in too. my list for buying things keeps getting longer and longer lol...have to wait till payday. again....dont know if everyone lives that way or not but we have to ...and it seems to keep getting worse and worse. but im about to get all of our outstanding bills paid. i will be happy when those are gone. and then never again do i want to see another credit card.lol ...

wow that sun is sure pretty this morning , they are saying we might get rain but it was a big if down here. i think the most of it was to be in the northern part of the state. ...
Been gathering seeds and plants for Michele. We are planning on going down to see her and Ross and their new house on the 4th 5th and 6th....she sounds so happy that she can hardly stand it. Neither one of them have had any drugs or drink for 2 months now. ...Thank you Jesus....just keep praying that they will continue to put God first and let him lead their lives as he has been doing. ...

well i got to go and get in my morning protein coffee..and get started on the day....love you bunches.
what you all have planned for the week end???????????

Good Morning, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:

I wish I lived closer because I'd go with you and Joe to the sandbar.  LOVE to look for fossils and old artifacts!  When I was a kid we did that sort of thing all the time!

Haven't subbed for 2 weeks.  The kids were off for "Fall" Break all of last week.  This is the first year for the "Fall" Break and I'm not too sure I like it!  lol!  Didn't get a call to sub this wee****il 6:15am this morning.  I had to say no because I didn't get to sleep until almost 1:00 this morning!  The rest of the week I've been asleep by 9pm!  Figures!

David is still a 1099 contractor.  I guess they have the money to finish what he's doing and that will be it.  He does have another phone interview with a great company.  Please keep him/us in your prayers.  It's been almost 2 years since he's had a regular W2 job and it has been stressful.  We continue to trust the Lord.  Even then the old devil taunts be and sometimes succeeds in making be fearful.  I just have to remind myself that the bible says we do not have the spirit of fear but of POWER and of a SOUND MIND!!   Praise God that He is still on the throne and still in control!  Okay, guess I'll get off the pulpit this morning!

Started reading "Choosing To See" by Mary Beth Chapman a few days ago.  I bought the ebook for my Nook - LOVE my Nook!
She is the wife of the Christian song writer/singer Steven Curtis Chapman.  Two years ago their 17 year old son ran over and killed their 5 year old daughter.  What a tragedy.  This book tells their life story and how God is showing her things.  Very powerful book.  I've been laughing and crying my way through it.  Not too many books do that to me.  I would highly recommend it!

BIG NEWS!!  Our little town of Gardner, KS has been renamed (for one day) to ESPN, KS!  The reason you ask?  Well, ESPN is coming to town to nationally televise our Gardner-Edgerton High School Blazers football game against the St. Thomas Aquinas Saints!  The games is on ESPNU and starts at 7pm.  My youngest son, Jake, is on the Sophomore Football team so he won't be playing tonight...but he is still considered part of the team.  Price Chopper put a full page color picture of the team out in their circular this week.  The town is just busting at the seams.  They had a big community wide bonfire last night to celebrate.  Now we're just hoping the rain holds off until after the game.  My hubby wants to go to the game, however, I'd prefer to sit in my nice warm/dry house and watch on my hd tv!!  So if you get ESPNU you might want to watch a little bit of small town USA football!  It will be GREAT!  We are undefeated and I think the Saints are 5 to 2. (They've won 5 and lost 2).  BTW, the Saints are from a private catholic high school in Overland Park.

Well, guess I'd better scoot.  Gotta go to Walmart and run a few errands.  Need to clean my house a little.  We have friends coming tomorrow night for dinner.  David is going to smoke a whole pork tenderloin on the grill.  He always does a great job and we haven't had one in awhile.  Should be great and hope the company likes it too!

Mama Jan - I hope you get to slow down and enjoy your time off this weekend!  I miss you!

MO Peeps - come out, come out, where-ever you are!!  Hope you all have a GREAT week!

Hi Debbie I wanted to say how fun it was to meet you and Becky awhile back. You both are just as sweet and special as I thought you would be. Such a pleasant surprise and fun way to brighten a work day.
Thanks for asking for me I wouldn't have known you guys were there if you hadn't.
I have enjoyed all the attention your school is getting in the local press. Such an honor for a small school district. Congrats and hope the weather holds out for the kids and parents.
Thanks again,
Connie

Hi Debbie hope your home team wins. that is great for your little town to have complete tv coverage for a football game.
will keep praying for David to find a good job ...but they seem to be few and far between the kind that there use to be where companies admired and rewarded good work ...So maybe he is better to not have one of them. and im sure that if God has one in his future it will appear one day soon. Keep the faith. Maybe there is things that God wants you to see with the kids , never know where he wants us , even if we would rather not be there.

Hello Missouri!!!
Just a few seconds to say HI and love you all. Jan, I am so pleased about Michele. The Lord is good and greatly to be praised.
Today was the last day of work for the secretary of the Dean of my college. She's been the glue that has held us together so I'm really going to miss her. She got a job at St. John's hospital making lots more money. Good for her!!! There was a reception for her at noon - ate some cake and didn't feel the best afterward. I know better - just forget and think I'm normal sometimes. AND we all know I've never been really normal.
Tomorrow we are going to drive down to Branson i thinkl. I want to go to Billy Bobs Dairy Land. I know I won't be able to eat a whole cheeseburger but everyone in my office has been talking about how good the food is so I want to check it out. I'll report back. Figure DH and I can split some things and get a taste anyway. There is a teaparty thing going on and I hope we don't get caught in too much traffic. It is on Gretna and we're going on 76 and maybe to the Landing so I think we'll miss the worst traffic.
Hugs and love to all,
Lana

HI OH MO Board,

Have been super busy again, and running on low energy too. Had the Sress test on Tuesday, Dr. B's office called on Wednesday and said everything looks good. No signs that I will be having a heart attack soon. Go to see him on Monday and hopefully get to do a DOT physical soon after.

Have to really get something different going, as much as I love my job, I'm basically working for less than mininum wage, time for a change.

Jan~It's so good to hear that Michelle and Ross are doing good, I am a witness that God can and does work miracles, keep praying and thanking him, as long as they are listening with their hearts he will keep doing good things for them.

I have frozen sweet potatoes and they do well. Couldn't taste any difference from the fresh cooked.

Debbie~I will keep you and David in my prayers, I know what it's like to not have a W2 job. That's what I'm going for. I want to have a regular income, instead of hoping from week to week. I am learning about the devil taunting, everytime I think I am really getting the hang of what Jesus is all about and start getting really enthusiastic, he will throw something messed up at me and I have to remember to not let him have any control in my life. Sometimes it's hard to keep your faith, but if you do he will bring something better to you.

How awesome for Gardner, used to go through there a lot, if I get back on the road will have to let you know if I'm coming that way, would love to meet you.

Hi Connie~How are you doing? Hope all is good for you.

Lana~I have been doing things like that, have been letting some of the old cravings get me, but like you I pay for it, if not right away then the next day. That's the blessing of this tool, it lets me know that I can't do all the junk anymore.

Have fun in Branson, I plan on having a week-end down there someday, will probably try and get close to the landing it looks like an awesome place to explore.

Need to close and get my laundry done, my older son and his daughter are spending the week-end with me and I have a lot to do.

HUGS to all of you, have a great week-end.

Jeanie so glad that your stress test went well...that is amazing. so happy for you....who knows if you get a big rig to drive one day maybe i will steal away with you on a trip lol ...
that could be fun .
Im sure you will do great ...how are you doing with the cigs.? hope you have kicked it . I know you will feel better daily if you get rid of them.
Im going to keep doing the frozen bit for the sweet potatoes cause i just dont have anyway to store them other wise. they will last a while laying on the back porch i guess but not for ever. so i am doing two to three big ones a day and freezing them...You said you had trouble with the devil putting things in your way sometimes ....Michele tickled me to death the other day ....she said she gets up every morning and opens the front door and yells out , get out of my life and away from me and my house satan i dont have room or time for you today .lol i thought it was cute. as they say out of the mouths of babes and i guess that goes for baby Christians too .....love you and will keep you in my prayers.
