Somehow, someway find the time and the money cause it will not get any better until you do. You need a fill and then the hunger will diminish. Your Band is not working at it's optimum because you have not done the required maintenance. Until then your best bet is to eat mostly SOLID protein and do not drink 30 minutes before or after your meals. The reason for the not drinking is with a loose Band you will just wash the protein right on through becoming hungry again sooner. You or your Band have not failed, you just haven't been able to do the required maintenance.
It will be 3 years for me the end of this month and I have lost 140 pounds and still losing. But I have been very faithful about getting fills when needed. Although it has been over 1 1/2 years since I have had a fill. There really isn't anything that will help you without getting your needed fills. If we had will power we would not have needed surgery so don't get too upset with yourself. Just be mindful of what you eat and try really hard to make sure there is very little liquid calories and mostly solid protein. Protein is the body's fuel and it takes longer for us to digest it.
If I can help you or you just need a fellow Bander to talk to feel free to email me.
Hope you are able to figure out a way to get that fill,
Connie

Thank you for your encouragement, It really means alot. I do feel like I have failed myself and my family. It is so hard to eat the right things. Some things get stuck others dont. The last time i went to the dr he told me my band was full. I dont see how it is since i can eat 2 whole pieces of pizza or even a hamburger. I used to not be able to eat any of that. I dont drink before, during or after i eat for at least an hour. That is one thing i have stuck too..Couldnt imagine how much weight i would have gained if i had not stuck to that,,,whew!! I'm putting small goals for myself, rightnow. If I say i want to lose 65 lbs is so overwhelming. So my goal for right now is to get to 199. Then I will go forward. Ice Cream should be outlawed and banned. lol That is my weekness! I need to go back to my proten shakes and be done with that. I am going to call the dr and talk to her. See what she says...I can hear it now...you are not following the rules..if you go by the rules,,,you will lose weight...bla,,,bla,,,bla,,,,lol   I know,,,,I know,,, I know...lol   Keep on emailing me,,,it helps..i am going to check on here everyday,,,look for advice,,,see what everyone else is doing.
Thanks again!!!

Banish ice cream and unhealthy snacks from your house!! You are just lying to yourself if you are making believe you keep them for your husband/kids. They can live without junk - it will be good for them. Then with the money saved you can go to the Dr. or use it to buy healthy food. Dense protein, dense protein, dense protein. That's the secret. Even protein shakes go through your band too quickly. You are going to be fine - just keep the bad stuff out of your house. I've had to do it that way for 5 years.
Hugs and tough love,

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."
