I seem to sip on everything, and trying to get fluids down. Not happening, not enough anyways... then diarrhea, then I have to use crushed pain  meds allergic to the liquid percocet...and now eating small bites of cottage cheese to prevent nausea when taking crushed meds...

anyone else have that problem?

It gets better. Things need to heal and if you take things slow you will get some things down that won't make you feel to bad. The bowel issue took me a couple weeks. I had to start eating real food and it took me a while to that. I still feel sick sometimes when I eat but not too often and believe me I eat a lot now. Hang in there.

That is what I have started doing, thin mashed potatoes, strained soup, cottage cheese..I am feeling so much better... I have lost 38 pounds in 6 days....

is that too fast?

You are just a few days out so don't get discouraged.  I had severe nausua for about 4 days and I was thinking being fat wasn't so bad.  Had some buyer's remorse but once the nausua was gone, everything went well and I've had no other problems.

Have you talked to your doctor?

Be patient.  It will get better.

I see him at my first post-op visit tomorrow...and I am finally starting to feel like myself.. for a while the pain was getting away from me, and I was overwhelmed at trying to do too much as my husband is not here with me...
