I do not know how you all have done this!! I went to the doctor yesterday and was there from 7:30 am and got home at about 3:00 pm I had the whole run down , endo, ecko , exray, ekg, you name it they did the whole lot. But here is my struggle it is only day two of not being able to eat anything , I do not know how you all did it ? I am sure I will make, but do not know how !! If any of you have any suggestions that will help make it easier . I think one of the hardest is still having to cook for hubby and boys ! Then the darn neighbor had to bring over about 15 fresh from the garden tomatoes, just to torture me I am sure LOL Hope you all have a wonderful weekend , and pray he sends me strength Mindy

Mindy this is the hardest part since you still have your big stomach and not the tiny little one you will have later. but if you are going to cheat make sure it is with something that wont throw you back into carb  desire lol carbs wants more carbs ,,,,there is no such thing as only one tiny taste of that cake or biscuit or what ever..you know as of right now you need to start cooking healthy for your kids and your husbands health too. do it little and gradual....like gradually replace sugar with splenda, they will never notice it if you do it first in cooking ...
replace deep frying with baking or pan searing and cooking ....
i think a couple of slices of tomatoe wouldnt be a bad thing to cheat with just re,e,ber this......Keep your eyes on the prize .....and keep thinking about how cute you are n going to look in that new pair of jeans you will be able to buy in that tiny little size.

Day three and eight were the hardest for me. I felt like food was everywhere. Day three I got my carb headache. That kinda took my mind off food. You can do this. Remember its only two weeks. After surgery you won't be hungry. It really does get easier I promise. I hated those shakes and chicken broth. The sugar free pops helped a lot. You won't be hungry in a few days. I know I thought I wouldn't be able to but when I got hungry I cooked. Of course I cooked stuff that wasn't my favorite but I still cooked. You just need to stay busy. Get a glass of ice and suck on ice chips to get the feeling of eating. Freeze some crystal light if you have it so you have flavor. Hang in there . Get on here and complain if it helps,we'll listen.

You can do this!!  It's only 2 weeks.  Take it one hour, one day at a time.  I worked the first 5 days and my co-workers kept me on track.  There's just hubby and me and he took care of his eats during that time.

Tomatoes would never tempt me but othere foods did.  I kept thinking I had to do this to get the surgery.  What if I got there on THE day and the surgeon said no because I didn't follow the diet.  Not sure that would have happened but it kept me going.

After surgery you won't be hungry.  Your husband needs to help you out here.

OH girls thank you so much for your wise words of wisdom , I will admit I did cheat with one slice of tomato and one bite of cucumber , those garden vegies just beat me down it is only day three and when I think about wanting something to eat that is when it is time for me to have another nasty shake lol I decided it tastes like strawberry calves milk , LOL if none of you came from the farm you would not understand , and no I never drank it , just the smell LOL but any way usually it is at night that I get hungry so last night I made sugar free pudding and ate that and seemed much more content , tonight I am going to make the sugar free pudding with a vanilla shake and that way I won't have to drink two of them . I am sure that I will complain much more before the 10th comes . But thanks girls

Can your hubby cook the meals?  If not, what I did was when they were eating, I would go in the bedroom and hubby would clean up dishes, etc. afterward.  That helped some.  It is hard, but you can do it.
