I need some help with ROSE Proceedure.
Hey Tammy,
I was having about the same problem as you, I could eat more then I thought I should of and could eat most anything without it bothering me to much. I had called Margie and told her what I was going through and she sent me a referal to Columbia and when I got to Columbia they first did all kinds of tests and so forth and found that the stoma was a bit larger then it should be, they suggested the StomphyX aka Rose procedure but at that time most insurances were not paying for it and as of a few months ago Medicare was still not covering it. So is what the Dr. at Columbia did for me was prescribe me a diet appetite surpessent called Phentermine, it helped me from getting hungry during the day and I did lose about 50 or pounds with it, the problem is though that he can only prescribe a 1 month supply then you have to go back to Columbia and get another, at the time my wife was going up there quite often because she was in the surgery process but now that she's 1 yr out we dont go up that way and I'm not driving all that way just for a prescription so with that I lost some on the Phentermine and I've lost another 80lbs or so by doing the HCG diet, you can google and find all kinds of info, it's basicly drops you put under your tongue that helps speed up your metabolism and surpress your appetite, the only bad thing about the HCG diet is that you do a 500 calorie diet, you do that for like 40 days then go off it awhile, I did that twice and lost about 70 - 80 lbs, I still have about 80 more to lose but with working right now I can't do the 500 calorie diet. The 500 calorie diet is not easy at all but if your determined you can do it, If you want some info on the diet send me your email address and I'll send you the online HCG diet manual I have. I took the "Homeapathic HCG" which is alot cheaper then the regular HCG, I paid like $35 for a month supply of the drops.
Hope some of this helps, don't hesitate to ask if you have any more questions.
Andy
