im back lol cant  get rid of me can you ??? lol  I got up early today to go out and pull some more weeds and then i figured that i better do this first and then i have to go and get my paycheck and get some bills paid ...darn bills....could have a good time if i could keep my money....i would have saved more than enough to finiance plastics if i wasnt trying to get things paid off.
I guess that is more important in the long run but darn it all guess that will teach me once again not to run up charges on the credit cards ...hard lesson for me to learn it seems
i have champane taste with a beer pocketbook....

My flower beds are sure looking a lot better since i have most of them weeded pretty well....and watering doesnt take as long now either. but the things that are in there now blooming dont like water anyway. i used up 3 large containers of Preen yesterday too and still need more....Have to check into the grub killer stuff and when you apply it. some say fall and some say early spring....will have to check....I intend to do my whole property and maybe i wont have the Iris Borers or the Japaneese beatles. of course i will have to do it yearly i would imagine unless i can get all my closest neighbors to do it also.

I think my grandson has decided to not go into the service right now but continue his college courses and then go enlist as an officer. that will be great. i didnt want him going right now anyway. hopefully the wars will be over by then.
I also think he has gotten a job and hopefully Michele has one too. They better get one cause this bank has closed its doors. lol

talk to you all later. have to get busy and get things done ....

Tell your grandson about the only service he could get into right away is the army. They put you on waiting lists in the Navy and Air Force now. I know kids from the high school that had to wait nine months to enlist after graduation. The army takes you and you are gonna go to the sandbox. No way out of that. Everyone goes. My DH spent 32 years active in the Army and he tells kids not to join. He says if you have to, go Navy or Air Force. I have a nephew in the Coast Guard and it doesn't seem as bad. He is away from his family a lot but not in combat. School is always a better way to go. After he has an education he will have more options.
I have to stay inside its just too hot outside. I really wish I could get back out and do yard work. I kinda enjoy it. The doc said he didn't want me sweating. Good excuse to stay inside.

Yeah Susie, that is what he said , he wants to go into the Marines but said he would do better getting his degree first. He is thinking he wants to fly helecopters. and with his scores on the test they give you they told him what ever he wanted but would have even more choices if he had his degree.
They also have quit giving the enlistment bonuses now too. I guess there is just to many young men out of work and cant find anything.

yeah good excuse to stay inside lol

Jan, we don't want to get rid of you.  We thought we would have some extra cash since we refinanced our house and don't make a payment in September.  But, our car needs new shoes.  One tire has a nail inside the wall or something and can't be repaired.  All 4 tires are almost bald and the car only has about 25,000 miles on it.  They put the cheapest tires on at the factory.  My son is getting us a deal where he works.  We'll buy 2 tires this month and 2 next month.

I know you are happy about your GS' decision to continue college.  Gee, I would hate to see my kid or GKs go into the service with those nasty wars going on.  I'm all for defending our country, but do we really need to be in Iraq and Afghanistan?

My eyes are much better today.  The dr. gave me a sample of Systane and I really like it better than the Refresh.  Of course Systane is one of the more expensive eye drops but I have a $2 coupon.  I put a dab of Vasoline on the corners of my eyes last night and they are better today.

My DH is taking my son to court today.  Greg is a nervous wreck.  He is completing his classes for alcohol abuse and is so anxious to get back to work.  This court appearance is due to an incident a few days before he entered rehab.  He was in his car at a Target and felt a seizure coming on and called 911.  A police officer showed up first, smelled alcohol, followed the ambulance to the hospital and gave him a ticket.  I certainly don't approve of drinking and driving and he knows it was wrong; however, the officer didn't see him driving.  We're hoping the judge will throw it out once he finds out what Greg is doing.

I'm trying not to stress but it's difficult.  I know it's up to him to succeed.  My DH is so good to Greg and they have a great relationship.  I'm very thankful for Max being there for Greg.

Hi Jo isnt that always the way about trying to get some extra money....there is always somewhere to spend it for sure.
Im glad your eyes are better....and the Systane is the drops that i use all the time. especially when allergies are acting up...

Hopefully the judge dismissed the ticket on your son since he seems to be working on everything.

yep sounds like Max is one of those great step dads. much like my Joe. he is so good to my kids.
