What's happening Monday!!

Jan must be busy this morning.  Unless it's a lot cooler in the Ozarks than here, I'm sure she's not gardening.  I did do a little 'gardening' yesterday.  I took my Swedish Ivy out on the deck and cleaned it up.  I just love those plants but they do make a mess with leaves dropping.

I saw the eye doctor and he thinks it's a viral infection so there's no treatment.  I need to use a hot cloth on my eyes twice a day to activate the oil glands or something like that.  My eyes are extremely dry and there's not enough oil secreted.

It was 84 when I left home at 7:30.  Sure need rain.  Didn't think I would ever say that after all the rain we got in the spring.

I am staying inside today. I hear its gonna be hot  . I have lots of magazines to go thru . I tend to let them pile up on me. So today my magazine day. I hope I can get thru them all. My stack is about two feet high.

My hummingbird feeder bit the dust yesterday. I had a beautiful glass and copper on but it was a poor design and to heavy. It kept falling apart. Poor DH tried hard to find a way to fix it. Gotta give him credit for that. I found my old plastic and glass one but can't find the food. My birds re going to mad.

I am feeling better everyday and trying to do a few things in the house. I will be glad to get the recovery over. It hasn't been too bad but it annoying. Not painful but uncomfortable. I am still very glad I did it. Hope everyone else is good or getting better.

Good afternoon OH,

Decided I need a day off, so am at home with my GD Stormi. She is hooked on my Super Mario Galaxy 2 for my WII, so don't hear too much out of her. Had the boys and their kids here yesterday for burritos and chili rellenos. I can eat the rellenos, and really enjoyed it.

Jo~I sure hope your eye's get better soon. I use drops for high pressure and they tend to make my eye's dry and if I don'****ch it end up with an infection that takes forever to clear up. I never tried a hot cloth before that might be something that would work for me too.

It's already hot here in Seymour, went into town for a few minutes earlier and it wasn't too bad yet, just went out on the porch to feed the dog and it was like a furnace out there.

Susie~Sounds like you're really healing well. We have have all kinds of spiders out here in the sticks. I hate them, they make webs accross the porch and night and if I leave in a hurry I'm cleaning them off my face and out of my hair.

I hate snakes too, if I had touched one like Jan did I would have been in the house in a second.

I'm doing good with the food and am taking my Chantix, today I start two pills a day, the only side affect I have so far is dry mouth and I make sure I have water and sugar free cough drops with me.

I'm looking forward to the meeting Friday, am hoping to see lots of people there.

Need to go now and get some more housework done. Love you all and have a good day.

HUGS

Jeanie Rae DH and I had real good luck with the Chantix. The only side effect I had was some strange dreams. But DH had deadly gas... I know TMI!! But it was brutal but worth it to be able to break that nasty habit.
Hope you are successful too.

Connie~Thank-you for the post, it's encouraging to hear from someone that has done this. I'm on day 5 and have registered for the getquit website. I plan on being successful, no matter what it takes to quit.

Thanks Jo for doing the post this morning. Yeah i was outside pulling weeds i got out there by 6:30 and was there till about 10am stayed in the shady areas as the sun went around lol ....wasnt too bad that way....didnt get hot till around noon here
anyway i still got too hot , got sort of sick feeling ,was suppose to go to work today and i called in just  didnt feel like going to work....could have done it but didnt want to .lol got to figure out a way to quit working im not enjoying it anymore.

the hot cloth on your eyes is to activate the tear ducts. if you will get some eye drops like systane at wal mart and use them 3 times a day it will help a lot. the tear ducts get sort of clogged and the hot wash cloths will help open them up...and the eye drops will lubercate them...
