confused

 I got a letter in the mail from the base saying I was identified as a diabetic  and needed to come in for testing and to see the doctor. I was pre diabetic before RNY but never fully there. Dh has tested my blood several times just to check his meter and i have always been in the eighties. Makes me wonder if there is a mistake somewhere.

Could be a mistake but, if your A1c test came back high then you would be type 2 possibly. That can be controled with diet. Maybe too many carbs. Don't worry too much and if you think it is a mistake make them take the test again. The A1c can tell them what your sugar was in the last 3 months.
