wHATS HAPPENING WEDNESDAY

Boy im sure glad im off work today.....State was there yesterday and they left about 5 , around 8 i looked up i was sitting at the desk working on about a trillion orders that two doctors that were there left for me and who was standing watching me but STATE....OH GOOD GRIEF.  i dont know what i was suppose to be doing that i was or wasnt sure flustered me for a moment.
I ask him what i could do for him and he said i was just wanting to know how many aides you have on this evening. About that time a call light went off and i jumped up like i always do , said excuse me and went and answered it....when i came back he was talking to one of the CMAs  i went in and rescued her and told her that Mrs. ----- needed to go to bed ....so she took off. He said do you answer call lights a lot, i told him no not a lot because the aides take care of them really well but i knew that the aide for that hall was giving a shower so i took care of it. I like for them to tell me when they are going to be tied up for more than a couple of minutes. that way i can answer their lights and take care of the stuff that i can....he was nodding his head and writing lol He said that is what your aide said too. She said you were the best charge nurse she worked for ....wow talk about giving me a big head .....lol....so when night shift came on last night i told them they better be prepared because if they came back on our shift they might theirs too.....whoa.....never knew state to come in at night.  Colette have you ever heard of it?????

Putting highlights in my hair this morning. hope it turns out ok and doesnt look stupid , oh well if it does i will just color over it again. lol well i
think it is going to look like i wanted it too. just lighter pieces ....lighter red in color ....that was what i was aiming for and think i got it lol

QUESTION OF THE DAY::::::WHAT FASHION TREND TODAY DO YOU HATE, ALSO ONE FROM THE PAST THAT YOU DISLIKED TOO.

mine would have to be the stupid looking Thong panties ,,,,well dont care if they want to wear them that is their business , cant imagine who would want a constant wedgie but anyway,,,dont care if they wear them but to wear pants that ride way down on their hips so you can see the thong strings ...vulgar and nasty looking,...the other thing that makes me cringe is people wearing shirts that are made short or tied up showing their belly and it is fat and in rolls. PLEASE if that is the fashion and everyone has to do it ...girls we will all be in style no need for tummy tucks just let it hang out over your jeans...lol

Good morning OH,

This is the second attempt at writing a post, don't know what I did, just tried to change an error I made and ended up deleting the whole thing, you would think I had never had a typing lesson or anything the way it happened.

Jan~I think you deserve a pat on the back, sounds to me like you do a great job taking care of your patients, and your aides. So wear the big head for a day or two, I know you would never abuse it.

My answer to the question of the day is, Jeans that are all full of holes and look tacky, saw a woman at the airport the other day, she had to be in her 30's, her jeans were split from the cuff to the middle of her thigh. It's one thing to see a young boy in a pair of ratty looking jeans, but my goodness where is your pride when you wear clothes like that. I also hate the mini-skirt, they seem to be a lot shorter than they were in the 60's, don't mothers teach their daughters any modesty?

I'm doing good. Took a couple days off to stay home and get some alone time. Have been running so much just wanted to take it easy. Have been gathering DH's clothes and the ones that are too big for me to take to the free store, forgot what a big job it is to clean dresser drawers out. Now need to start on the laundry room, DH and my son used it to store all the junk they refused to part with, even though it will never be used again.

Am planning on selling the property and renting an apartment in Springfield or Nixa, will cut down on driving back a forth and put me closer to the jobs we do.

Need to post and get busy with something. Hope you all have a good weekend.

HUGS.

Jeanie you sound like you are getting so much energy you dont know what to do with it all.....Im glad you took some me time, sometimes everyone needs some of that and with all you have been thru lately it is over due im sure. you have had some really big stressors in your life. not only with the surgery but then with the passing of your husband. if you need anyone to talk to you know my ears are always available....

That sounds like a really good idea to move yourself into a new place for a new life....Do you have it up for sale yet?....

how is the weight loss coming along....

There are several fashion trends I don't like......low cut tops, ragged jeans, guys wearing pants around their knees and their undies showing.....gross!!  I walked out behind a kid at a store.  His pants were below his buns AND....his boxers had brown stains.....EWWWWWW.......NASTY.

Thong panties.....if that's all you're wearing for undies, why bother.  My sister calls them a$$ flossers.

Previous trends would be bell bottoms, mini skirts and bouffant hair.

What a nice compliment for you Jan.  I'm sure it was well deserved.

Yesterday I did better with my meal planning.  My day's food is planned for today and has been recorded in the OH food log.  I'm printing them each day and going to put them in a file.  Today's calories are 1,172, 85 net carbs and 118 grams of protein.  Lunch is a Smart Ones and has 37 carbs but I need to use it.  Yesterday's carbs were around 50.

I'm having a hard time with protein other than my shakes.  Last night we had leftover roast beef and I ate a little but I just don't like it.  Usually, I really like ham and fish so guess I'll eat more of that.

Jo im like that too about left overs....most of them i cant eat at all and dont know why , it just makes my stomach turn to try to eat them.  I cant eat Roast Beef at all it is way too stringy for me ....I have to almost grind it up to be able to eat it and i wont do that. I stick with Chicken that is cooked very soft and with something so it has moisture to it. and ham and fish. can eat Bacon too if it is crisp..Pork Sausage i use to love is now so greasy that unless i use about 3 Vivi paper towel to press and soak up the grease out of it doesnt work either.....so you can see we all have our things....Thank God i love my protein shakes that i make. my protein coffee and my frozen fruit smoothies. yummm

I think today I dislike the low rider pants with the undies showing. Like the guy on American Idol said "pants on the ground". I also hate the thong showing or the whales tail. I guess its better than showing crack.
Past fads might be the shoulder pads from the eighties. I also do not like capri pants that much. Makes my short stubby legs look worse.

I haven't been doing much of anything but shifting from couch to recliner or bed. Antibiotics gave me the ****S. I lost four pounds so I am trying to drink drink and drink. I am also eating rice. I remember the brat diet and I had the rice. I am feeling better today. Dh should be home Friday. Worst time for a business trip.Or could be perfect time since I am sure I would not be good company. The job pays the bills like the one I just had for surgery so I better not complain.

I wouldn't worry about the state people watching you. They probably have no idea what you are doing anyway. They just know how to fill out forms. I am sure you are the best nurse they have.

My MIL called to check on me. She said she went shopping for me again and can't wait to see if I like them. I have the best MIL. She was so sweet to come here and help out the first few days home.
I guess I will eat something and take another nap. I better while I still can. I usually can't sleep in the day time.

Jan,

yes, we had state do just about every time they came for survey.  They also did come in on all  the shifts. Usually at 500am,  7-8 at nite, andusually all day.  they wouldask  questions of all staff  and I always told the staff  if  they  did  not  know  the answer  not  to lie but  answer  I will find  out.   they would  even ask  nurses  what  the 7  rights  of  giving  medications  are.  As dept.  heads  we  always  had staff   there round the clock the entire time they were there(dept heads)

Sorry I amnot  onhere  much but   I  am so  sobusy.  Hubby was in hospital  for  13days  in May and just  recently  2weeks atNorth  Kansas  City   Hospital   with a completely  blocked  right   leg  with  no bloodflow.   and Necrosed   toes.  Had bypass withcadaver veins,  and   still  looking  at  amputation  of   toes.......He is home  one  week  today  and consumes   all my time  along  with all the therapies cominginto  home.He was completely bedridden a week ago and is  showing   improvement    each   day.  Keep me  and   him in  your  prayers.  Colette
