I can hardly hold it in --

My struggle with this obesity and the need to have surgery started in October 2004; when I went to my first meeting to hear what it was all about.

Followed  by an OPEN RNY in May 2005; having a minimal amount of succes; I kind of settled in thinking that was it --only having lost 130 pounds....but never really feeling the restriction to eat less.....

So after another five  years still not feeling content and never feeling sucessfull like so many others; I decided to go and check out another surgeon in St. Louis who after several test determined that I need to have a gastric Bypass Revission; so on March 12th this year Here I went again....

Well to make a long story short - I am no longer morbidly obese as of today;  my BM I is 40.7 so now have moved into the super obese but then soon I will be movoing into the plain old obese records of life

Please celebrate with me.

Good for you. You are taking control of your own life. That's a reason to celebrate. We have to put ourselves out there and make hard choices but it is so worth it to be healthier and happier. I'm glad you are back on track.
Hugs,
Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

You have reason to celebrate.  Only losing 130 lbs???  Don't say "only."  That's a great accomplishment.

Post here often and let us know how you're doing.  We want to share in your success.
