WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY

I guess i got way too much sun the other day, yesterday anytime i was outside and got in the sun it felt so hot on me i couldnt stand it. i could get in the shade and it was more or less ok. just hot.
anyway i spent most of the day inside yesterday, i drank water and played on the computer all day after about 10....i got up really early around 6 and went straight outdoors and started working, and then came in and did the whats happening post then went back outside for another hour or so...but by then it was hot and miserable. and i felt weak and dizzy so went in the house ....my muscles are so sore and im swollen,, seem to be retaining all the water that i drink....not going to the bathroom much and all the water i have drank i should be sitting in the bathroom almost full time.

i did get the weeds pulled up from out of the watermelons yesterday morning...it was in the shade at that time of day....then i put the soaker hose on them for about 4 hours. i really have a lot of watermelons in there. i counted over 30 and quit. I said i would be giving them away because even as much as i love them i dont think i can eat that many before they would start to rotten. Can you pick them and keep them for awhile? maybe in a root cellar you might?
I sure hope my sweet potatoes are doing as well underground as the tops of them are doing. they have these amazing vines on top that are climbing the fence going thru and up and over ....have to find out how i can keep them without having a root cellar.....maybe cook and peel them and bag a couple in a seal a meal bag ? guess i might try that with one ....i have a extra on in the cabinet now ....
guess i will get off , not much info this morning since i did nothing yesterday to speak of. I was so hoping with five days off in a row i could get everything done that i wanted done but of course it always seems like there is something that stops it. to hot or to cold, to wet or too dry.  it  is times like this that i wish i didnt have so many flowers to take care of. and yet i just put in some more. if we could find a buyer of someone that would take care of all of the flowers i have planted then i might consider selling the place but most people would  come in and get rid of all of them more than likely .....

well got to get this posted. im rambling too much....love you all and stay cool...

It was hot at 7 am today.  We usually go out for breakfast but I decided to make breakfast.  I have some cleaning to do and will go to Lee's Summit this afternoon to visit my Stephan Minister care receiver.  Cooking breakfast at home is quicker.  It was a disaster or at least my waffles were.  I used Fiber One mix, sprayed the griddle with Pam and they stuck like glue.  Eggs, bacon and toast were cooked up.  I "fried" my egg and it tasted ok.  I was so set on waffles so very disappointed.  I tasted a piece of waffle and it tasted like cardboard so we probably didn't miss much.

I'm going to post my Eggplant Casserole dish.  It a meal in one dish.  The other night I had nothing out for dinner so I put frozen chicken pieces in the pressure cooker with water and onion soup mix and cooked for 20 minutes.  It was delicious.  The guy on QVC that talks about the pressure cooker said you could put frozen food in there but I didn't think it would really cook in 20 minutes.  Tonight I'm fixing a roast in the pressure cooker.  It's electric so very safe to use.

In yesterday's post, Jeanied talked about wanting a burger.  She might just taste it and decide she doesn't like it.  In the beginning I could eat chicken.  Can't remember when I tried beef but it was ground beef cooked like Sloppy Joe's and I ate it with no bread.  Ground beef tastes good to me but a roast just doesn't taste like I remember it.  Yesterday, my office had Jack Stack BBQ brought in for a seminar and there were a lot of leftovers.  I had already eaten lunch so I brisket, cole slaw, baked beans and potato salad home.  I've never cared for potato salad but I used to love all the other stuff.  The beans are way too sweet and the cole slaw just tastes weird.  The brisket is ok but not like I remembered.  Now, if those darned carbs would taste nasty!!

Jan, stay inside and keep cool!!

ground beef did great with my pouch after a bout six months. Steak actually did better at around five months, go figure. I made sure to chew it really well. Its all trial and error sometimes.

I am still on my pain meds and needing to poop so bad. I do not know what to do. I am afraid to hurt but also afraid I may explode. Any suggestions? I am taking stool softeners.

I am sleeping a lot and not all that awake when I am awake. But not hurting except for the poop issue. Hope you are all doing ok and staying inside and cool.
