I got home about 8 last night. The car ride was pretty bad. I suppose it could have been worse. I only had to stop once for the bathroom.
I didn't get a chance to talk to the doctor after the surgery but he talked to DH. He told him he cut off five pounds of skin.I was surprised at that much I had figured maybe three. I am very swollen and hurting. My backside is twice it normal size. The front doesn't look to bad. I have four drains there.
I knew it would hurt but didn't expect it be this bad. I read where other people said the thighs were the worst. I say the LBL is worse.
Keep me in your prayera for a fast recovery.

So glad you are alright. Don't rush anything but do get up and move as much as you can.

Susie,
Sorry you are hurting - take the pain meds NOW!!! I am thinking of you - I always thought the backside incision would be the worst. My front didn't hurt that much - but I took everything they gave me for the first three days. Obviously slept alot.
Keep moving as much as you can.
Hugs and loveys,
Lana

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

What a way to lose 5 lbs.!!  I'm sure you will be very happy with the results once you're healed.

Take care and keep the pain meds coming.
