Oh what a joy it is to have the faith of Abraham and be counted as righteous.  In Romans it’s talking about having the faith of Abraham and being counted as righteous in God’s eyes.  Faith without works is dead but we can’t work for our righteousness, it’s a gift of God and oh what a gift that is when we accept it.   Then when we get down to Psalms we read how David is struggling and pouring out his heart to God, no matter how hard he is struggling he still trusts God and knows God will take care of him.  In Proverbs we see that lazy people might sleep good but are always left hungry and that keeping God’s commandments keeps our life on track but despising them leads straight to death, not much else you can say there it’s pretty simple.  Over all some good Word this morning.  The devotional was especially good and so true.  Seems lately I am like the paralyzed man, I’m so close to my miracle but can’t see anyway around the crowd.  This month has been a struggle but I know if I keep persistent and work my way to the “roof" the miracles waiting for me will be right there.  Now is not the time to give up, now is the time to press on even harder, no matter what your believing for or what you are going through, this is the time to pick it up, climb on that roof and grab your miracle.  I believe when God sees our determination and faith He will help us press on through to the miracle waiting for us no matter how big or small it is.  Whether it be getting those final pounds off or believing for a total restoration of a family member or close friend or maybe a financial miracle, don’t give up but rather get up and climb onto that roof and grab your miracle.

Daily Devotional

"And no one pours new wine into old wineskins. If he does, the new wine will burst the skins, the wine will run out and the wineskins will be ruined"
(Luke 5:37, NIV)

Are you ready for a new chapter in your life? In order to move forward into the blessing God has for you, you have to be willing to let go of the old. The things that are behind you are not nearly as important as what is out in front of you. It's time to get ready for the "new"!

You may have had some unfair things happen, things that you don't understand; but let me tell you, you have come too far to stop now. Instead of allowing those things to hold you back, why don't you let go and take a step of faith into the new? It's time to get a new, bigger vision; it's time to get a new, fresher outlook; it's time to rise up with a new attitude! Instead of settling where you are, pick up and move forward. Have the attitude that says, "I may not understand it; it may not have been fair, but I am not getting stuck on this page. I know God has a new chapter for me—a chapter filled with blessings, favor and victory!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Today, I choose to trust You with my past, present and future. Give me wisdom to discern the seasons of my life and teach me to embrace the new things You have in store for me. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
