WHATS HAPPENING THURSDAY

think i am finally back , am done experimenting with computer connection.  I was due a new phone and the time was up on using the data card from Alltel to connect to the internet with besides it broke so i thought why not get a phone that will connect to the internet and hook up to my computer too..have only one bill...well i got the Palm Pre whice is suppose to connect to the internet like that...and it does but keeps going in and out and pretty agrivating..so i said the heck with it and went back to using the data card to get the internet ...too expensive but anyway i go out here  ...
to get the internet is expensive unless you go dial up and i dont have that kind of patience.so now im going to take the Palm Pre back and get just a phone....dont need all that fancy stuff. and dont care about getting my email on there cant read it anyway , too small ...same with facebook or any of the other things it does....pain in the butt for the most part. so untill one of the phone companies decide to put internet out here im stuck with this i guess. it works good and is fairly fast ...

worked yesterday and it was like being in the green house. was so so hot i thought i was going to die at any time. was wringing wet with sweat..even the patients were hot and sweaty....everyone was running a slight temp even...now that is too hot ....the residents that werent hot were the ones that had fans in their rooms ..in addition to the air conditioners. I think i will take a fan with me to work tonight....we have one little one at the nurses station but still doesnt do much good unless it is pointing directly at you. tonight im going to go into one of the empty rooms and get my meds ready to go....then keep going back and forth in there. lol more than one way to skin a cat.

havent been in the garden much the last couple of days it is just so hot ....i get out there early early in the mornings and that is about it.  Joe got up just while ago and said he is going to finish the yard this morning before it gets too hot on him....by the time he gets it all mowed this time the main part is going to need it again....we could have baled hay off the back lot where the fruit trees are.

well not a lot of news ....anxious to see everyone tomorrow at the support meeting. has been awhile since i have gotten to go....and i miss you all too much to not go i know that....

Just when we thought we would never be hot again after our surgery Missouri proves us wrong!!! My office is very cool but the main part of our building is a gym and it is not cool nor are the corridors and restrooms. Sure don't want to be out and about at all.

So glad everyone is planning to come to COF tomorrow night. I'm lonesome for you guys!!

My boss has been off all week and just called and said she's taking M,T,W next week too. Good for her. She hardly ever takes off and all of us need time away from our jobs sometimes. I'm taking tomorrow afternoon but I'll be at COF - count on it.

I am going to do the pouch test starting on Sunday.I am having the carb crazies again and need to shock my body back to some semblance of normal. I just start nibbling and then it blossoms into full blown cravings. Being slow at work doesn't help either. I am a boredom eater. Gonna clean my file cabinets today so that will keep my occupied.

 Lana, I think the devil is behind those carbs.  Why do they have to taste so good??  I try to keep them under 100 but it's difficult.  I think I need to do the pouch test.  I've never done it.  I don't eat a lot at meals but snacking isn't a problem.  Well, it is a problem, but only because it gives me too many calories.

Lana can hardly wait to see you and everyone else...been awhile....but will be there tomorrow night

It was about 105 here yesterday but I hardly noticed it.  I park in a covered garage so the car doesn't get extremely hot.  There's a walkway from the office to the garage so I was only outside going from the car to the house.  It rained during the night.

Last night was a Wendy's night.  I had their new Apple Pecan Salad and it is very good, a little pricey at $5.99.  Should have split it up and made 2 meals out of it.  I couldn't eat all of it and couldn't save it because it had dressing on it.

I do fine all day with my eating and then at 9:00 pm when Max wants a snack, I do something crazy.  That has to stop!!  I've got to plan a treat that is healthy.  I should make a small protein shake.  Today I'm tracking my calories so maybe that will keep me on track.  I used to fix a baked apple in the microwave but have quit that.  Maybe I'll do that tonight.

Jan, the Kindle allows you to adjust the font size.  Really nice feature.  The Kansas City Star has reduced their font size so much that I have trouble reading some things even with 20/20 vision with my glasses.  I'm getting the Star on the Kindle for free for 14 days.  Nice to be able to read it. 

Jo...that salad sounds really good from Wendys. will have to try it sometime.

im that way with eating too...late night snaks do me in....i keep for crunchy pork rinds....they have no carbs. and if it is sweets im craving i keep on hand Atkins peanut butter cups....or choc rice cakes...

Has been a busy and hectic week. We got a little busy and I worked hard to make sure and get the bills covered. Pretty much managed that.

I will be at the meeting tomorrow night. Took the night off so will not have to worry about phones.

Really looking forward to seeing everybody.
