Still here
Hi OH,
Just a short post to let you know what is going on in my life right now.
Am doing better, still struggling with the cigs, but have gotten the patch and going to try that. I do have the mindset to quit, am really using it as a crutch right now and that part isn't good. Have been turning it to God but end up taking it back. One day at a time.
Never im my wildest dreams did I think of having to deal with all the stuff after losing my DH, he took care of paying all the bills and the only thing I did was address the envelopes. Now I have to pay them and keep track of all that and am wishing I had prepared myself better. Doesn't really seem like such a big thing until you are faced with it. Can be overwhelming at times, but with the help of God I will get it all under control.
Am losing weight pretty steady, about 4 pounds a week. The smaller size I got is starting to hang loosely on me now, what a great feeling. Have really learned a lot about my eating habits. When I'm in a ru****end to eat too fast and the pouch reprimands me immediately. Have only had one pretty painfull reminder, but that was enough. Now when I leave, have my cooler with me and at least two protein shakes and a high protein bar or two with me. If I have to eat and drive that's the only way I can go. My grocery bill is almost nothing now and that is so awesome. The most I but are things like skim milk, and salad stuff.
Need to post and get my day started, we are a driver short today so need to go to Springfield and bed available. I am going to be at the meeting on Friday, am looking forward to seeing everybody there.
LOTS OF HUGS
Sounds like you are gradually getting some of the natural mourning done. It takes a long time but God does relieve our hearts.
Great about the weight loss - not a recommended way, losing someone we love - but it makes you healthier for sure.
I am so glad you will be at the meeting Friday. Do you still want plastic bags or are you to busy now? Let me know, please.
Hugs and loveys and keep on keepin on.
Lana
I can imagine having to take over the bills is daunting but you can do it. Work out a system for organizing them. Put the due date on the outside of the envelope or whatever will help you remember.
I can't drink milk since surgery. It makes my tummy feel like it's going to blow up. I use Almond Breeze. It's lower in sugar and carbs than milk.

I have a couple things that are size 12 but 14s fit me perfectly. Some would say that's still large but it's so much better than 1X or 2X. I keep saying I'm going to buckle down and lose the rest of the weight.
