WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

guess what i have been doing ? becoming a computer geek lol ....no it was time to get a new phone from Verizon so i chose to get the Palm Pre you have to buy a data package with it but this one you don t have to buy another data package to attach it to the computer ...so i have spent this morning figuring out how to set it up to use my phone as my modem  ...and for a lot less money than the air card...saving of 30.00 per month....and the phone is fun to play witth too. is all touch screen. with slide out tiny keyboard but that is ok i dont do a lot of typing on them...also i can get my email and facebook on there. all sorts of fun things you can do on it too.
hope it proves worth it.

wow we sure did get some rain yesterday evening and last night didnt we...i just went out and emptied the rain guage ....we got 2 inches and 7 tenths....looks like it might do it again today too.
we are starting to ge****er logged ....the Ark is comming along nicely...almost ready to start loading the animals. not going to take any flies or mosquitos or mice, rats, snakes or weed seeds this time lol ....

have a lot to do in the flowers and gardens but dont think i can get into them ...might sink in up to my arm pits as much as it has rained. ...but it sure does make for easy pulling of the weeds ...one of the best times in the world to get the weeds out of your flower beds is after a good soaking rain. they just come right up...and the ground is nice and wet and you can sprinkle on the PREEN and not have to water it in...
the flower gardens are all ablaze with the bright colors of summer right now , love this stage too all the zinnias of different colors and marigolds shining there bring gold and oranges , the bright pinks, reds and whites of the hibiscus. with lots of other colors blazing away...the old fashioned garden mums are starting to put on buds and will be ready to bloom way late in the season. it is always a race to see whether they get to bloom or a hard frost will get them ...I have them in back of the guest house and way over at the start of the shade garden. closer to the house i have the big cushioned mums...and they have already started blooming .. they are so lovely .
We got a new fence post put up for a corner post that was being a little bent in the wind. and got the blue bird house back on it...we put it up two days ago and already have a mama and daddy bluebirds building a nest inside. they have missed that bird house ...we had to take it down when a snake got up in it and ate a nest of babies. so we emptied it out and cleaned it so there wouldnt be any smells or what evers of a snake in there. , Do birds smell? anyway the bb are back at it once again. this house usually raises about 4 to 5 groups of babies...they are so cute and sweet to watch.

well better get busy and get something done today even if it is wrong. I have to go to work again today then have tuesday off and work on wed and Thurs....will have Friday off so i will get to go to the support meeting this month . has been awhile since i  have gotten to go and am anxious to see everyone again....especially the girls that have had RNY since i saw them and others that have had plastic since then ...wow i have miss a lot of stuff.   see you all that can be there on Friday...wish all of you could come and see us boy would we ever have a party....lol

I can see!!  I did go to the Urgent Care clinic.  They have a doctor there.  He was very nice but he needed to shave and he had so much hair in his ears and nose I could hardly look at him.  He's a young man, probably 40ish.  He prescribed 2 meds and thought I have Iritis.  I got some relief soon after starting the eye drops and after a couple hours was able to read the paper.  I have an appointment with the eye doctor today, but I'm not going since my eye is so much better.

We got lots of rain yesterday.  South of us had a lot of storm damage.  Trees were uprooted but no one was injured.

I'm so excited.  I'm getting a Kindle tomorrow.  One was given away at our annual meeting last Friday, and, of coursem, the person that won it doesn't read.  I offered him $150 for it and he took my offer.  It cost $189 originally.   The Kindle was my incentive for losing weight and getting into regular exercise so guess I better get busy. No QVC buying for awhile.

I really need to come down for one of the meetings.  I know I would enjoy it.

I thought  we were about slide down the hill last night. Somewhere around here there was a tornado but it missed us. We have outside lights turned due to wind and lost our largest tomato plant. I do not eat them but DH does so he is more upset than me. Lots of rain.
I went to the orthodontist and he adjusted my retainer. I didn't know you could do that. I feel like I just got braces again. I hope this doesn't last long. I almost need a pain pill.

I have so much to do to get ready for surgery I almost do not know where to start. I am going to try to come to the meeting but will not promise to be there.

I found some blackberry bushes at the bottom of the hill and picked enough to make DH a small sugar free cobbler.  I don't eat them or any other berry with seeds. I guess I am really getting picky I guess.

Hope you all survived last night and are doing ok. Susan hope the foot is better.

Jan, so glad the Ark is almost ready. We sure needed it yesterday. It rained really hard and blew quite a bit but no damage. Nothing happening weather-wise here yet but I expect it about the time I start home from work. Went out at lunch today and got some new jeans shorts. My TT really didn't change my pants size that much - well maybe one size - but they fit much differently, don't sink into the flab. I am so excited to see everyone Friday night. i am going to try to wear something fitted so you can see the results. I still am self-conscious about things that fit my middle - you know we probably will always see ourselves as fat. It's hard to get my head around the fact that the rolls are gone.
I hope all the people who have been missing in action will be able to come to the meeting Friday. I am so missing all of you. I'm going to call role and those who aren't there are going to get an F!!!!!
I also want to put in a testamonial for Kymaro shapewear. I get them on eBay because they are about half what they are elsewhere and they have not been worn, just tried on, but they can't sell them on TV after that. Brenda Nutt gave me good advice - wash them a couple of times before you try them on. They use starch in the reinforced material at the tummy area and it doesn't stretch very well until it's washed. I thought I needed a bigger size but she told me I just needed to wa**** first - good call, Brenda.
I wear a medium and they are comfortable because they don't roll up if they fit properly and they help you keep your shoulders back because they have criss cross panels in the upper back. Love it!!! May never go without one again. I feel more comfortable about my middle with one on.
Hugs and hope to see everyone Friday night!!! Ya'all come!!

"WLS is about making better choices, a healthier lifestyle and seeing how little you can eat.  Portion control is the key to all weight loss surgeries.  Bottom line - it isn't how much you can eat - it is how little you can eat."

The drain is GONE! YAY!  I'm so very happy to get that thing gone.  I can't even explain it.  It wasn't painful, it was annoying!  The stitch they had to hold it in place was tender but the whole thing was driving me crazy.  Alot of my swelling is going away.  I still have above the insision and where he did the lipo suction.  I'm very happy with my results so far.  :D  I will be at the meeting on Friday along with my mom.  I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone.  I've been wearing those Kymaro body shapers for about a year and a half and I love them.  I'm looking forward to not having to wear one at all.  Dr. Hawes wants me to wear some kind of support for a few months.  I hope everyone has a great day! :D Lou
