WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY

I have to go to work today and i dont really want to with my face looking like this but dont think i have a choice really ....they scheduled me to work cause i said i didnt mind working and now it would be bad to call in ....i guess i will go on in and if they dont want me there there they can call and get someone else...I know the residents are going to be all worried and upset about it....I thought about covering it all up but then that means covering my one eye and that hinders my sigfht....

Sounds like you girls had a great time yesterday, i really wanted to be there with you. You all couldnt get Peggy to come? wonder why she has more or less cut herself off from all of us? I really love that girl. she is such a sweetie,

Jeanie sounds like you have been keeping yourself very busy and that is a good thing in more ways than one. How are you doing on your weight loss? Are you making any headway on the quit smoking thing? dont know if i told you are not but Medicare and most insurances will pay for almost anything you do to quit smoking ....pills , therapy, etc. just want you to get healthy....you bet if im not working the next time the girls schedule a get to gether in KC i will ride with you...if i hadnt fell i was going to call you and see if you wanted to go..i was planning on paying for the gas if you would drive.

Well i have about got the major weeds out of the flowers , maybe...i cant stay bent over as long as i normally do , the blood rushes to the bruises and scrapes on my face and are a little unpleasant .
my face is healing but it is all bright purple and then scrapes with scabing going on there. not pleasant to look at but doesnt really hurt. it is just a miracle that i didnt get more hurt than i did. but i am ok , just glad that i have really soft good dirt in my gardens...and not a lot of rocks like a lot of people do. only rocks in there are the ones we put there for decorations and of course those are the ones i hit with my face. couldnt have been with my arm or leg but then those might have broke. so i am really lucky that my face is all that got messed up and no broken bones. im a little sore like i exercised too much but nothing i cant handle.

well got to get busy and do some things before it gets too hot out...what are you all planning for the 4th????

Jan sorry about your accident of course. But thought I might suggest you get Joe to take photos of your injuries just in case it is needed in the future if there is a lawsuit with your knee. Couldn't hurt and might be handy to have if you know what I mean. Hopefully you will not have to but there sure is something fishy about not being billed for the surgery and so forth.
Just a thought,
Connie

Jan, maybe they won't want you working because it will upset the patients to see your injuries.  I'm sure people call in all the time for lesser things so call in.

Max went at 7:30 this morning to get another injection for his leg pain, but the doctor couldn't do it.  He's been off the Coumadin a couple days and his blood was too thin.  So, he will go back Tuesday.  It's always a concern that he is off the Coumadin because he's susceptible to blood clots.

Last night I cooked the best fish I've ever done.  I dipped Tilapia in egg then in Panko crumbs.  I heated a small amount of oil in a skillet and added the fillets.  OMG.....they were delicious.  Also, cooked red cabbage that tasted really good, but I just don't digest cabbage, cauliflower or broccoli very well.  Max loved the cabbage.

Today we're going to Firs****ch for breakfast.  Max got a free meal for his birthday.  I love free!!  Then we're going to Powell Gardens.  It's just beautiful out there.

My vacation is about over.  It has been very enjoyable.  One of the best things this week was meeting Debbie and Barbara.

Jo: i am going into work and there is a meeting before hand so i can see what they say...im sure there isnt anyone else to work for me and they could care less if you are a ble to or not lol....

when they take him off coumadin they could put him on lovenox couldnt they...not sure but i know some of our patients that are going to have surgery that is what they do........

get you some pills to take before you eat the cabbage and stuff, cant think of the name of them right now but they keep you from ever getting the gas from the stuff you are talking ab out ...and they are way too good to not eat lol ////

im glad you enjoyed your vacation and so so glad that you got to meet some of the girls from the board. makes things pretty real .....

Jan, he has some Lovenox but when he goes off the Coumadin for these injections, the doctor doesn't recommend it.  He is scheduled for the injection Tuesday so he's thinking about using the Lovenox.  He has a few on hand.  Guess who gets to do it......me.  He can't stand the thought of giving it to himself so I'm it.

The cabbage type veggies don't give me gas.  They just don't go down and makes me fell like they're stuck.

We went to Powell Gardens today after breakfast at Firs****ch.  I had fresh fruit crepes.  Could only eat one but it was delicious.  We walked and walked at Powell.  It's really pretty there.  All those plants gave me a headache and made my nose stuffy.

I'm headed out to get my great-niece a birthday present.

Yesterday we talked about Splenda and I swore to cut back on it.  I use way too much.  In my protein coffee this morning I didn't have any and last night I only had one packet in my iced tea.
