What's Happening Thursday!!
I'm looking forward to lunch with the Kansas City gals today. Wish all of you could be there.
This week has gone quickly. Tuesday I cleaned the grout in the kitchen floor and I'm still feeling the pain from that, but the cleaner did work and the floor looks so much better.
Yesterday, I did some sewing. After lunch today I'm going to the Half Price Bookstore to sell a bunch of books and movies. I have 2 boxes of stuff to donate to the thrift store. Will be good to have all the stuff out of woman cave.
The weather has been great here!!

GOD BLESS YOU TODAY
JAN COOK
We went to Barns & Noble and checked out the Nook and now all of us want one.
I took my books, movies and cassette tapes to Half Price books and what a waste of time. I should have given to charity. Only got $7.25 for all of it. The books were like new. I'm putting that money towards my Nook, but I've got a long ways to go.
Jan, maybe you can join us next time. I hope to meet these gals and hopefully a few more again soon.

Well, had a great time at lunch today with Jo, Barb and her Grand Daughter. We ate a little and talked A LOT! We took a couple pictures. I'll try and get the posted within the next day or two.
Mama Jan - Oh, how I wish you could have made it today! Would have been so great to see you. We wouldn't have even minded that you looked like you'd been beat up! I'm sorry you fell and am praying that you heal quickly!!
Jo, it was great to get to meet you in person. Had a good time at the book stores too. I even told my dh that I wanted a "Nook" for my Birthday and it could be considered a Christmas Present too! :)
Barbara, it's always great to see you! Your Grand Daughter is such a sweetie. Just hope we didn't bore her to death with all our talking! I think I'm going to take back the book I got and exchange it for the one you bought today. Will you let me know the name of the book you got today? Want to make sure I get the right one!
I 'm with Barb - would love to have a once a month get together for lunch in the KC Metro area for all of us who live close (or even those who don't and want to join us)!
We need to plan for next month where we want to eat and what we can do after wards.
Barb posted a thread about the Mound City Craft Festival which is the first Saturday in Oct which will be Oct 2nd this year. So far, Bec, Barb and myself (maybe Jo) are going. Would love anyone else who would like to come to please join us! I didn't go last year because it was soooooo cold that day! Usually the weather is beautiful that time of year and there is so much to see! Plus you get a lot o exercise simply by walking! Great fun, please come if you can!
I'm doing some laundry. The boys will be packing this weekend for BSA Camp so no need to pick up the living room until they leave. It takes them 2 to 3 days to pack for their 10 day camping trip. My living room always looks like a tornado hit it. I'm going to make them pick up everything in there BEFORE they leave for camp!!!!
Think I'll be heading to bed. I read for about an hour last night and it did seem to relax me. Going to try it again tonight. The more I think about it the more I'd like that Nook - Jo why, oh, why did you have to tell me about it and then we actually got to use one at the store!!! lol!
Hope everyone has a good night.
Debbie D.
Jan, I hurt for you....I worry about you so. Sending a hug and kiss for your boo-boo!
Hugs

Good evening OH,
Had a busy two days, two of my GDs spent a couple of nights with me, they went on a movie delivery to Berryville AR. Really surprised me that they weren't totally bored. Having them with me helped pass the time better.
Then today I had a triple blood delivery starting in Aurora and ending in Fayetteville AR.
Jan~So sorry to hear you had a fall. Take it easy and let yourself heal, the gardening will be there when you feel better. I thought about going to KC and thought I would ask you to ride with me, but the check I was waiting for didn't get here so didn't have the money anyway. Maybe next month we can carpool. Driving to KC is a piece of cake. Let's talk about it.
Jo~I have done the book exchange thing and have never gotten what I thought my books were worth. So I give any books I don't want to someone who will read them. You can get some good books at reduced prices, but I like Barnes & Noble so much more.
Deb~Just love having my kids around, but I spend 3 to 4 days cleaning up after them and the Grandbabies. Hope your boys have a good time at camp.
Barb~I am going to try to join you all when you have the next lunch. Sounds like a good thing to get started, really want to meet all of you.
Well I'm tired and need to post this and go to bed. Have an early day tomorrow.
HUGS to all of you wonderful people.
