Full abdominoplasty on Thurs July 1

I would appreciate any prayers and good thoughts on Thurs. Dr. Hawes is doing my surgery and its outpatient. I'm super excited but also nervous.  Anyone that's had a tummy tuck and has any advise or knows of anything I'm going to need,  if you would let me know I'd appreciate it.  Hopefully I'll be good to go by the next meeting, I sure would like to see everyone.  Thanks in advanced!  ;) Lou

Congrats on the tummy tuck! Be sure and take measurements, pictures, etc! Wow, July 1st is Thursday! That is really fast!  Will be praying for you!  What time is your surgery on Thursday? Be sure and have someone post and let us know how you're doing.

 I will be thinking of you. You will have to let me know what to expect ,I have my LBL the 19th in KC . I am sure you will do fine and will look great. I can't wait to see you its been too long. I was told to get a grabber,one of those long handle things, so you do not have to bend over and a freshette to be able to pee standing up. I am told getting up and down is hard for a while.

My best advise is to purchase a stool riser, I purchased mine at Wal-mart for about 25 dollars, great purchase. Made it alot easier to go to the bathroom. a lanyard to put around your neck to hold the drain tubes during a shower. Make sure you wear your garment they put you in no matter how uncomfortable. I still wear mine, I had my TT Jan 8th and I still swell on busy days. They say that you can swell even up to a couple of years. I looked at it as being filleted (sp) like a fish. Takes along time to heal inside. Take it slow and walk all you can to keep clots from forming. Just walk slow all that you can.

Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers.  My surgery is at 7:30 am.  I have to be there at 5:30...wow I wonder if I could have requested an earlier time lol. Thanks for all the info, I'm going to head to the store pretty soon and pick up all my stuff.  I will have Jade let you know how I'm doing.  ;) Lou
