Psalms was really touching today and spoke to me tremendously.  It starts off with…

1 Praise the Lord, who is my rock.
He trains my hands for war
and gives my fingers skill for battle.
2 He is my loving ally and my fortress,
my tower of safety, my rescuer.
He is my shield, and I take refuge in him.

When things look dim, when you feel like your caught in a trap or you don’t know what to do or where to go, you can read the first few verses of today’s Psalms and know what to do.  “He is my rock, He trains my hands for war and gives my fingers skill for battle."  If we seek Him, we will find all we need to win the battle.  When you feel uneasy or maybe scared of what lies ahead, “He is my loving ally and my fortress, my tower of safety, my rescuer.  He is my shield and I take refuge in Him."  Right there gives us safety, we can run to Him and He will shield us, He is our tower of safety and he will rescue us from whatever it is we are caught up in.  This last day or so I’ve been scared or uneasy about what He is doing in my life but when I take refuge in Him, He gives me comfort and strength to carry on what HE has for me.  Sometimes when we go into “new territory" it’s like your being blinded and you don’t know where your going but if we trust in Him, He will never fail us, wow. Thank you Lord.  When we “call upon His name" and trust in Him and lean on Him, He will ALWAYS meet our needs in ways that we could never imagine, He’s just waiting on us to ask expectantly.

Daily Devotional

"In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty"
(Psalm 37:19, NIV)

We serve the God of more than enough! It doesn't matter what's happening around you, it doesn't matter what's happening in the economy, it doesn't matter what's happening in the stock market, God is able to provide for you. Notice today's verse doesn't just say He'll help you barely get by; no, it says that in days of famine His people will enjoy plenty.

The key is we have to get our minds off of this natural, earthly realm and start setting our minds on things above. Remember, there is no recession in heaven, but if you aren't investing in God's economy, you won't see the reward He has for you. Take a step of faith today and sow a seed. Ask God how you can be a blessing to others. Remember, you are a steward over His resources. When you choose to be obedient to Him, you will eat the good of the land. And when you tap into God's economy by obeying His Word, you will have His results—more than enough!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Heavenly Father, thank You for the resources You have given to me. Thank You for trusting me to be Your representative in the earth and for giving me more than enough. Show me how to handle the blessings You've given me so that I can please You in everything I do. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
