How is your weekend going. mine is as good as can be expected since i am working lol....got paid yesterday, so that is good. not bad pay for part time guess if i really wanted more money i would work more.
altho the DON ask me yesterday if i could possible work more than i was working. told her yes if she didnt work me three days in a row. on that third day my knees and hips hurt just too much so she said she wouldnt do that to me....so probably in July i will be working almost full time....about 4 days a week actually. maybe will give us exta to save up for this winter.

have the soaker hose on the garden going, am getting zuccunias already ...and have small jalapenios too plus small watermelons....yummmy some of my very favorites....my sweet potatoes are growing all over the place too....and sweet green peppers.

need to get the garden ready to plant some fall crops. may do more carrots and more peas .
oh and i need to go out and gather my first mess of green beans today too. and those i need to plant more of them right now.

nothing too exciting right now just work and work in the garden and work in the flowers and its hot lol
but the weather is suppose to cool off some after this week end some. in the 80s and that is to be expected in the summer but those horrible 90s and 100 percent humidity makes you feel like you are trying to breath underwater...i really feel for anyone that has breathing problems anyway....can you imagine how they are feeling?

well got to get off of here and get some stuff done before time to go to work....thaw out something for the guys to cook for supper. i thought i was doing them a big time favor last night i made spag and meat balls , out of bought frozen meat balls and they said they werent good at all , not anything like mine lol well of course. but they ate all the spag. and gave our dog the meatballs. lol

well got to get for sure....bye see you tomorrow.

Good Morning, Mama Jan & Mo Peeps!

Had an eventful day yesterday. Jake drove me around to do some errands. We stopped at Sonic here in town to get a Route 44 Ice Tea when my oldest, Luke, called to tell me they couldn't find Sophie - our 1 year old toy poodle.  He said Brad and him had let the girls out for 5 minutes and when they let them back in only Roxie came in.  Needless to say, we spent the next hour searching the neighborhood in the 95 degree weather!  Praise the Lord one of our neighbors was on the bike path that runs behind my back yard and which is next to a very busy 4 lane road - she found Sophie about a block away and she had wondered onto the busy road and did about get hit by a car.  Laurie, my neighbor, rescued her and took her to her house which is two doors down from me on the other side of the road.  She gave her water and did try to call - I bought our girls customized dog collars that have their name and our phone number embroidered on them.  Apparently she tried to call when I was calling our answering machine to see if anyone had called about her. While Jake was out calling Sophie one of his friends told him that Laurie had her.  Jake got Sophie and told Laurie thank you.  We are all so happy that she's okay!!  So David and Jake spent last night putting chicken wire all along the bottom of our fence.  David thinks Sophie chased a rabbit right Thur a rabbit hole and that's how she got out.

Today David and I are cleaning my worn out carpet.  I hope it looks better, can't afford new carpet right now.
Tomorrow we have our grandson, Cameron, so should be a busy day. We may take him to the pool tomorrow.  Will see how the day goes.

I'm asking for prayers for my cousin Wayne.  He's 42 and had a stroke a couple days ago.  He's now in a rehab hospital in Little Rock. He suffered from a brain tumor the size of a grapefruit when he was 16 - it was too big to operate on. They gave him 6 months to live.  He took chemo and survived but has never been the same. He's suffered with seizures and strokes. He already had one leg that was crippled up but could walk.  Apparently this stroke affected his other side and now he can't walk at all. His Mom is my Aunt Fredia who spents months in various hospitals with mersa. When I saw him in March I could hardly understand him then.  It just breaks my heart that he has never really had much of a life.  His Dad, my Uncle Everett, passed away in December of 2006.  Please keep the family in your prayers.

Mama Jan - I have no idea where you get all your energy out in the hot weather! I was WORE out after just spending 45 minutes in the hot sun walking and looking for Sophie.   I'm glad you are working at the nursing home - I know you are taking EXCELLENT care of the patients and the Lord will bless you for it!

Jo, Barb, Suzy, Peggy - Will be glad to see you all next Thursday.  Sure do wish Bec, Mama Jan and the rest of the MO board to come too!!  We would have a blast!

MO Peeps - You all have a GREAT weekend and try and keep COOL!

Oh how i wish i could be there next Thurs....it would be such fun to see all of you again. been a long long time. we need to go shopping again. lol
will keep your family members in prayer....makes you wonder where people get their strength from , well no it has to come from God and there is a reason that he is still here.

i dont work steady out in the sun stay out about an hour then take a break in the shade on the back porch. with a big glass of ice water. then do it over again ...that way i say hydrated and dont get sun stroke either. lol

Debbie, I know how you feel about your baby getting away.  I have a Sophie too.  Sammy was getting under the gate and did that a couple times.  Max put some stones under it so he can't get out.  Really scares me when I can't see them.  We watch them very carefully.  They love to chase rabbits and squirrels.

I'm looking forwarding to meeting all of you next Thursday!!

Really hot today.  I spent from 9:00 to almost 3;00 in a tutoring workshop.  I just couldn't get into it today.  It was difficult to stay awake.  I took my water but when I refilled it from their fountain, it tasted just awful so I had nothing to drink.  The woman next to me drank 3 cans of Dr. Pepper.  I don't like carbonated beverages any more.

Tonight is the dance recital....ugh.  Thank goodness it's only once a year.  You aren't supposed to have food or drinks in the Music Hall but I always take my water.  Most of the time their water fountains don't work plus it's Kansas City water.

Since we have the recital tonight we weren't able to go to Atchison to see my son so we're going tomorrow after church.  His girlfriend has Chron's and is in the hospital.  She has so much trouble with that condition.  I think she needs to switch doctors but she hasn't so far.  She is hoping to marry Greg although he told her from the beginning he did not want to get married and he has never wanted children.  She really wants to have a baby but I don't know how she could with this Chron's disease.  She is in and out of the hospital and has a great deal of pain with it.

I've got color on my hair and the timer just went off so I better get it washed off.
