this is going to be fairly short today, as soon as we get our coffee down we are headed to Monette to help our granddaughter move to Joplin. she just keeps getting farther and farther away....they needed to get out of that expensive duplex that they had in Monette. was really nice but way to expensive for what they could afford,.  anyway...it is closer to where he works , at the can factory there somewhere.or i guess it is.

got out this mornring and unpotted some of my flowers from the pots they were in and transplanted them to bigger pots adding lots more dirt and growing area for them to get bigger and prettier in...

that wind and rain last night sure did tear up my zuccini plants. they were so big and pretty looking and they almost look like they were turned upside down. but they are still rooted and the stems arent broken so hopefully they will recover. but they dont like cloudy rainy days ....

i planted a whole other row of green beans this morning too. the ground being good and wet and i left them on the back porch on the table last night and the package got wet so the beans were wet when i planted them they should come up in a couple of days like that. head start....

well Joe is saying i better get things together so we can head out soon.....so guess i better go ...hope you all survived the storms last night and nothing bad happened to you all. we sure did have some bad swirling winds but so far i havent seen anything that happened that was bad.

love you all have a good first day of a new week

No storms in our area.  Looked like rain on the way to Atchison but the clouds moved on and it was very hot.

We had a nice visit with my son.  Some of the stories of the patients are really something.  All the counselors have been thru some addiction and they have really been down and out in their lives.

Greg is getting anxious to get back to work.  They want him to stay 36 days but he's hoping to be able to leave sooner.  His girlfriend is having a rough time financially.  He was supposed to get 4 days vacation pay but didn't get anything.  He should also be getting short term disability but hasn't.  He calls the insurance person for his employer but can never reach her and she won't return his calls so he's really frustrated.  Barbara, the girlfriend, has a shopping habit and has maxxed out her credit cards and needs his income to pay bills.  He has no credit cards.  Her parents have plenty of money so they are helping her.  Her parents gave her $25K to put down on a house.  She used part of it to pay off the CCs but turned around and charged them up again.  She has a thing for very expensive purses like Coach selling for hundreds of $$.  I wouldn't think of getting a bag that costs that much.  I try to stay around $20 for a bag.

I've had my protein coffee and I'll have a Click with added protein.  I have been very naughty with my eating the last few days.  Wish sugar made me barf every time.  I'm going to de-carb this week and get back on the straight and narrow.

We are meeting at the Elephant Ear.  There were coupons for EE in the coupon section of the Star yesterday.  It would be great if you could come Jan!!

Jo i hope your son wont go back to work and get out sooner than he needs too. even if he doesnt get workmans comp or anything. i know it will be hard but he really needs to stay till he is strong enought to be able to say no to the crap he has been putting in his system...

YEAH im with you on that i wish anything that had sugar in it made me so sick and for long enough that i would never ever want it again...
it seems like i am de-carbing every other week lol

i wish i could be there with you all on Thursday but that is my grandsons 21st birthday and we are having him a birthday party lol he doesnt know it .....

Good afternoon OH,

Haven't posted in a couple days, just reading. Am trying to tie up some loose ends today, so didn't go to Springfield to try to get a job. Just don't really feel like doing much of anything today. Did start taking some of DH's clothes down from the closet, he had a lot of stuff he hasn't worn in years, so think I will take them to Salvation Army and hopefully they will go to someone needing them.

Made supper for Daniel and his wife yesterday afternoon, make mackeral patties and they really loved them, they were one of my staples when the kids were growing up and makes me happy that they love them so much.

Still having trouble quitting smoking, but at least I am still not smoking in the house and limiting how many I do smoke. Just feel like my nerves are frazzled and don't want to have to take any drugs.

Jan~I love the first picking of green beans with new potatoes, I use bacon and lipton onion soup. Used to be our tradition. No green beans were canned or frozen until we had our "green bean soup".

Got our first red grape tomato yesterday. Have a lot of bigger tomatoes, but none are turning red yet. Do have zuchinni and yellow squash just about ready to pick, can't wait on those.

Jo~Sounds like your Son is doing good. Hope things work out for him.

Well need to get back to making phone calls. Hope you all have a good day. Talk to you later.

Jeanie;;;;i know that has to be hard to take down and give away DH clothes and other personal things. can any of the boys wear any of it or want any of it....that might be a way for you to get it down and for them to take something sentimental to for them.

Mackrel cakes were one of the things that i cooked for my kids too when they were little , couldnt afford Salmon, and i really like the Mackeral better ....

Green bean soup ???? that doesnt really sound good when you say it but i bet it is good.

i have tomatoes but they are a long way away from being ready to eat. since i had to replant.

You do plan on attending the support meeting on the 16th dont you?????sure hope so. i have missed you i wont know you i bet\

your doctor can prescribe you those pills to help you quit smoking and medicare will pay for them...they will even pay for sessions about quitting smoking.
