WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Beautiful morning out this morning, i was up at 6am outside working...have de weeded two beds and gathered enough green beans to make two large messes. fed the chickens, and fed the dog. now am inside making coffee for my protein coffee ,,,that just gives me a good start to the day. it is really good too. besides the splenda and protein in there when i have it i put half a package of instant sugar free hot choc mix .....yummy tastes just like a mocha latte. only mine are better to me lol i put extra splenda in mine, at least more than they do at the coffee shops.

going to go to wal mart after while and pick up some things. then to the dollar store for a few more things...i have found them to be a lot cheaper , especially on household supplies. but on a lot of grocs too....and coffee is usually cheaper unless someone has it on sale. if they put out an ad i could take it to wal mart and they would equal the prices but they dont very seldom....

well I'm making out my list of stuff to buy today,,,,whi*****ludes worm meds for our dog, also stop at feed store and get rabies shot and other shots for him. Does anyone know if you can give a dog Tylenol or ibuprofen? He is getting pretty crippled up and lays around and whimpers a lot. poor thing he is only 10 but he is getting around like a much older dog. i guess we need to take him to a vet and have him checked over. it is such a hassle to get him inside. he doesn't lead at all and they don't want them inside without a leash....we just never did train him for such ...he has always ran free because we have always lived where he could....makes me worry about going off and leaving him this winter. i wonder if i could train him to a leash now at this late date. anyone got any good tips on how to do it.

well Ive got to get some more stuff done today....when i go out I'm going to buy some fresh new potatoes and then cook them in with the green beans and some strips of bacon too ....oh wow yummy wont eat but maybe one potatoes but they are tiny so wont be too bad. but i will eat a lot of the green beans .....note to self buy some more bacon today too. lol

Good Morning, Mama Jan & MO Peeps!


Got up early to pick up Kameron from David's ex.  After 21 year she is finally being half way civilized to me.  I say it's about time! Honest, she is one of most hateful people I have ever encountered.  She left David 2 years BEFORE I even met him!  She ended up marrying their neighbor who just happened to kick his wife out a month or so after David's ex left him.  Both couples had been really good friends.  Doesn't take a genus to figure that one out! lol.  Anyways, I'm thankful she's finally realized I've been a good Step Mom and am good to Kameron - that should have been her main concern all along.  Okay, enough with that! 

We're taking Kameron to see Toy Story 3 in 3D today!  We all LOVED Toy Story. I'm thinking we might have to buy 1 and 2 on DVD or just wait until they all 3 come out together.  Jake is even going with us! lol!

Mama Jan - our big dog, Ginger, got that way too.  The vet told us to feed her dog food that had Glucosamine in it.  We started doing that and it did help her.  Might want to ask your vet about the Tylenol or ibuprofen.  I honestly wish I had just one smidgen of your energy!  Would do me for the whole month, I think!!  lol!  Wish you would come join us next week...I'd love to see you!  Love you!!

MO Peeps - hope everyone has a great day!  I'm going to sign off and go get ready for the movie.  DH is going to fix lunch before we go.  We're having chicken nuggets and mac & cheese.  Can you tell we have a 5 year old in our mist today!  lol!  Sure can't afford the prices at the concession stand.  Cost us 47.50 to see the show today for 4 of us!  It's ridiculous I know, but we only go about once a year.  AMC doesn't allow you to bring outside drinks/food anymore.  I still might take some bottled water and put in my purse.  The prices they charge are outrageous as is!

Debbie, I know what you mean about Exs shunning you.  My husband's Ex would even speak to me at their daughter's wedding.  I made the bridesmaid dresses but no compliments from her.  I didn't know Max when they separated so I definitely had nothing to do with the breakup.

Once the granddaughter was born and we were invited to her BD parties, the Ex would speak and eventually would talk to me after she say how nice I was to her daughter.

I haven't been to a movie theatre since 2002 when we were on vacation in Durango, CO.  I really prefer watching movies at home.  The theatres are so loud. 

Hey Debbie where and when are you all going to meet on Thursday....if good luck is with me i might surprise you all lol...never know about me you know.

i hope you all have a great movie date with the grandson. 
it has been years since we went to the movies. oh no it has only been maybe 5 years we saw king kong at the great big screen in Branson when it was on.....my that was huge....lol

Jan, you have got to be the most energetic woman in Missouri.  I was up at 7:15, fixed my protein coffee and read the paper.  I love going to the Dollar Store but I probably don't really save any money because I find so many bargains.

I have not been getting in my protein, haven't been tracking it for a couple weeks and I know that's not good.  I got tired of the protein coffee but today made it and I'm going to have it every day plus I'm going to track my protein.  I've been feeling tired and that may be why.

I have brownies and banana bread baking to take to my son.  He will have plenty to share.  I always think about cooking no matter what the situation.

Greg called this morning to give me directions to Atchison.  He said all the counselors have been thru an addition......drugs, alcohol, gambling, domestic abuse.  One woman's story brought tears to his eyes and the other guys said it did them too. 

The dance recital was good but it's pretty much the same thing every years.  My older GD is on the dance team and was in 11 dances.  She just loves dancing and it shows.  She did a ballet number with 2 other girls.  There's a lot of ballet and I'm just not a fan.  So glad it's only once a year.

I've invited Jessica, the 6 year old, over Monday or Tuesday.  We will get a movie and have some fun. 

Jan, those green beans sound wonderful.  I've always loved green beans but they just don't taste the same now.  Last night I fixed cauliflower and couldn't eat it.  I love carrots, salads and zuchinni.

Hope to spend a lot of time in my woman cave this week.

lo l im not energetic just dont want anyone to say im lazy i think lol .....no the work has to be done and im the only one to do it...

dont worry about your taste for different foods after you are out as long as i am your taste will come back for a lot of stuff and that is good and bad lol so you just have to really watch it at this stage.

Im sort of a creature of habit and i like my protein coffee i make and i tweek it different ways at times so i dont get tired of it and it is the best way i know to start the day off. ...sometimes i will have another in the middle of the day but in summer time i make smoothies instead of the hot coffee.
as my second protein shake that way i know i am getting at least 60 grams a day and if i calnt eat anything else that day at least i know im ok on protein or simi ok....sometimes i will have another protein smoothy at night while watching tv. that is only on days that i havent eaten tho..cause i still have problems eating enough....

Jan we are meeting at the Elephant Bar and Grill at 119th and Metcalf between 11 and 11:30.

Hello Jan and mo board,

I had to jump in here for a minute, don't give your dog ibuprophen or tylenol, it will kill a dog, give him plain asprin.  not the 81 mg but the full strength kind. My dog had  very bad hips and arthritis and that is what the vet said to do. You have to watch him so the asprin doesn't upset his stomach.  The vet can also give you pills for it but don't know how pricey that would be. I feel for him my dogs hip just gave out one day and I had to have her put to sleep. It was very had to do but couldn't stand to see her suffer. 

I have been very light headed lately, don't know if it is gb related or not. I walk like a drunk person lol..  I go for my annual checkup friday so will ask my doc. 

Jan I got my pool up and just love it, I get in every day.  Sure saves money going to the pool everyday and I don't have to worry about all the people at the pool.

Well I will get off for now. Good luck with your dog. Hope he gets to feeling better. Maybe the asprin will help some..

Bev thanks so much for the info about the Tylenol and Ibuprophen...i didnt know that ....Sure wouldnt want to make things go bad for him...we really love this big ole guy....
Probably was pills that they and ortho guys say help to rebuild the cartlidge in your joints. Didnt help me and i took it for years. but i think my joints were too far gone.

what kind of pool did you get and how big and from where? im really jealous ...lol...i hope you can enjoy it a lot. do you do exercises in it ? if you cant think of any to do just get in there and walk as fast as you can for an hour. wont  hurt your bones and it is great for burning calories.
