WHATS HAPPENING --MONDAY ALREADY????

Looks like it is going to be another Hot one....wow remember a few months ago when we were all crying because it was too cold? and how we were begging for summer,,,,,,well here it is...
At least we have ways to stay cool...I remember when i was a kid and no a/c...oh my it was hot and the days were long. and we kids slept up stairs. many the nights that i just sat in my window and fanned praying for just a slight breeze...during the day most of our days were outside in the big grove of maple trees , that was aboutt as cool as you got. would have slept out there but for the mountain lions that were in that area....didnt think i wanted to be food for one of them...even tho we never saw one we did hear them once in awhile.

Yesterday i spent most of the day weeding...I got most of what i have in the garden weeded...i just havent grown much this year...I have sweet potatoes , watermelons, green beans and peppers out there right now....am thinking of planting some corn...but may wait a couple of months and plant some fall things.
Started de weeding some of my flowers good grief who would think they would grow up so fast in a week....got one bed done yesterday...Joe said arent you hot out there and i ask him arent you hot just sitting? lol i said it is just as hot just sitting as it is doing something so i need to do this.

Well we sold the rental house contingent on them getting their down payment within 30 days....They are suppose to have some money hope so. we will see. they have this little girl that is 3 and she is so cute and talk you have never heard a little girl talk like this one. it is constant. i dont know how she will ever do in school cause she dont breath without talking. lol funny but as her mother i think i would sure get tired of it. but she is just cute as can be ...

I have to go to work today and i dont really feel like  it at all. I told Joe when we got the money for the house i think i will quit for awhile. and get my leg taken care of. And then i want to be able to go to AZ for a couple of months this winter too. After George gets into the service we will be leaving i hope.
that is one reason i dont know if we will plant a fall garden or not. just dont know.

I finally got all the dirty clothes washed , dried and hung up ....man there was a lot seemed like. I normally wash a load every day so i never notice having a lot of it to do.
I think we are all back to normal.
Joe has to get gas for the lawnmowers today when he takes me to work...hope he wont come home and start mowing in this heat...I told him you can do the riding mower work this afternoon but not the push mower or weed eating unless it is in the shade. just too hot. would rather have him than a nice clean cut lawn...

Good morning to all.today is the first day of summer already where did the year go to.sure is going to be hot again.

jan will see you at work sometime.i do not work this evening will be leaving at 400pm as i worked for someone sat on my day off.sure a lot of crazy thing's the state got them on.glad to hear about your rental house.

i will be leaving work this wednesday.it is my last day.no one want's me to go.i have to have surgery soon on my toe and i will not be able to work for a while.

Susan did they tell you that you could come back? what are they going to do with your toe? I thought it was all healed up....So when will your surgery be? let us know...will you be in Skaggs?

Hot and humid......guess we should expect that.  Thank goodness for AC.  When I was a kid I would spread a quilt under a tree and spends hours out there.  We had a window fan and at night it would bring in cool air.  My dad made a water fan out of the window fan and that was really great during the day.  Every so often my mother would go outside and water down the packing in the cage.  We didn't have A****il about 1960. 

Susan, what happened to your toe?  I'll bet they will be glad when you can return to work. 

Jan, if you quit, they'll surely miss you.  Too bad about the paperwork problems.  Caring for patients should the top priority.

One more wee****il vacation.  We will be going here and there around the area but I plan to get some things done at home too.  I want to get the floor cleaned and hope the grout cleaner works.  I have several sewing projects too.  I hope to finish Max's T-shirt quilt.  Painting the bedroom is at the top of the list. 

I talked to my son last night and he seems satisfied at that facility.  He said it's really nice and the food is good.  I've prayed for him to get help for over 5 years.  I know once he gets back to real life, there will be temptions.  Just pray that he learns how to prevent a relapse.

Jo  sounds like you are going to have a working vacation....i know that when you work full time a lot of stuff really gets left off and then it all swarms all at once.
Take it easy. So glad for your son who is getting help , sure wish my daughter would.

 I have a swarm of what I think are called June Bugs and they are eating like crazy. I sprayed a lot of bushes and trees with liquid sevin. I hope that helps. I also scattered two boxes of moth balls in the yard. Maybe the critters won't like the smell. I have been told it keeps the snakes away as well as armadillos . They are tearing up the yard and eating all my flower bulbs. I guess the deer will be next and eat my peaches and apples. Thats what I get for living in the country I guess. I am not a country girl and prefer the burbs.

DH got six new RX's this morning. They keep saying its just chronic sinus . He thinks this is gonna do him in. I am beginning t wonder myself. He feels like he is on his last leg. Hopefully this round of meds will help him bounce back.

I think my allergies are acting up or I have caught whatever he had. My head is killing me. I am sure its sinus. I just hope it doesn't hang around long. I would hate to have to postpone my plastics next month. If I don't do it now I might never have the nerve again.

Stay in the shade or ac if you can. Hugs to those healing hearts.

Susie are you sure the bugs arent Japanese Beetles.?: they are green iridesient in color and they s warm like crazy. i sprayed my with bug killer and got rid of lots of them last year but it takes neighbors doing it too on the same days. or you can take a bucket of soapy water and rake them off into it and drown them ....if you dont want to use strong bug killer. 
 
hope the new meds help your husband. inflamed or infected sinus hurt and can make you feel like you are dying.
if it is just sinus i doubt that they would postpone plastics unless you run fever.
