WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

HEY where is everyone....uhoh did you all realize you didnt need me that would be awful. .

yesterday i pulled all my carrotts up and boy was that a job of pulling them washing them and cleaning , slicing, and getting them ready to freeze. but made 8 pints frozen ....they look so pretty , plus we had a big bunch of them cooked with potatoes and onions wrapped in foil and cooked on the grill while our steaks were cooking ....yummy.

my grandson said that sure was a good meal he was really glad to have it after a week of sandwiches and pop tarts  lol .

Im writing this early so i can get out and start weeding, my flowers are a mess since i have been gone a week. weeds everywhere. i was just barely staying ahead of them anyway and now they are winning but not for long. ....
I started watering yesterday and it started raining, i mean it opened up and poured. then we had so bad winds too. dont know but think there must have been something up high that didnt quite reach the ground here. just glad for the rain and so happy that the wind didnt do anything else. My poor chickens stood out in the rain like it was so great when it first started just sprinkling but then it got really hard and they ran for the hen coop.

I told G eorge, my grandson i was really proud of him , a city boy and how well he took care of things here. he fed and watered the chickens and picked up the eggs and made sure things were watered well and all and even mowed some on the back of the property out between the fruit trees. He is such a good hearted boy.

We really had a great time at the Ralley and some of the things that God did for us while we were there. We think we have our rental house sold.  They are suppose to be here today to talk to us. They saw it and love it and have made an offer that we have accepted , now if they come and give us the money that will be the final thing, Then i can be sure it is done and over with.

Well dont know what is going to happen at the place i work, they didnt pass re inspection again, it isnt the care of the patients. they even said that the care of them is great it is just paper work again. I wish a lot of people that have their family members in nursing homes would go to congress and get all the paper work rules thrown out. if you did all of the paperwork they wanted you wouldnt have time to do all the care you want to do. you would be a secretary and not a nurse. Just makes me mad. This is a great nursing home and if i had to go to one here is where i would chose because it is clean and the care is great. But because some paper work wasnt totally done then it gets bad marks, just not fair.

well going to get this online and hope that more people post today than did yesterday, everyone must have been busy or just too hot to care about Whats Happening lol ....
love you all

Sorry I've been MIA.  I've missed the meetings and I haven't even been checking on here.  My life is running in 30 directions.  I'm so very sorry to hear about Jeannies husband.  We lost a very close friend this week as well.  Its been the worst week ever!  I wanted to make the last meeting, in fact had planned on going and then I had to show houses until 7:30.  I really miss seeing everyone.  I'm getting ready to go to the beach on a much needed vacation Wed.  I'll be gone for a week and when I return I'm going to have a tummy tuck on July 1st.  I'm excited and very nervous.  Dr. Hawes is doing my surgery.  I can't wait to get rid of this skin and suck in my waist.  Hopefully I'll be recovered enough to make the next meeting.  I really do want to see everyone!  I hope all is well and I think about you all often.  Happy fathers day to all the dads out there.   Lou :)

Good Morning OH,

Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there.

Have been reading, just haven't felt much like posting. It's been a rough few weeks. Spent yesterday at home, by myself for the first time in weeks and just sort of did a little here and there in the house to try and get things organized. DH took care of the bills and the check book and all, so I had to get things put in my order so I don't have any surprises down the road. My memory is getting a little shaky, so don't want to forget a bill.

My kids have been wonderful, and having my GBs close helps me remember the happy things about my marriage. I know that God is helping me get myself on the right track.

Jan~So glad to have you back, I guarantee we need you here. Nice that your GS was there to take care of the home front while you were gone. Really helps put your mind at ease when you have someone to trust like that.

I personally think that the government needs to simplify the paperwork involved, sometimes I think maybe the people caring for our health needs are so swamped with the paperwork, they don't always have time to give each person the care they need. So if somebody were to start a movement to lessen the paperwork I would be right there to vote yes.

Lou~Good to see you here this morning. Have missed you.

I think it's a good thing to be busy sometimes, but you need to make time for yourself too.

Just going to say what everyone has told me, take time out for you, we need to take care of us so we can do what we are here for.

Getting ready to go to church, so need to post this and get dressed. Hope everyone has a good day and get lots of Hugs from your family.

HUGS and LOTS OF LOVE.

Jeannie good to see you on here again. Getting your life back to some sort of normalacy helps with the pain and grief.
Im right there with you with sighing and being behind anyone that would make goverment sit up and take notice of all the paper work that nurses and health care have to do. It really does take away from patient care. Cause they dont want to hire someone to just do all of that paper work , oh no it gets piled on the nurses and then the patient suffers.
Glad you are still going to Church, is a good place to go to help heal...Jesus is the great healer and knows all of your heart aches.  We are all here for you ....Hugs to you.

Susan: will be back to work tomorrow and tuesday, I may give my two weeks notice. depends on what we do today with selling the rental.
yes it was extreamly hot and humid where we were camping. it is quite aways below Little Rock and to the west . right on the line where Ark, Ok and Texas all meet up. most days it was 98 and 99 with a heat index of 110 very humid, just sitting you were sweating all the time. I did lose 5 pounds tho. i guess from walking up and down the hills out there and not eating but at a specified time. i am trying to keep the eating at those times at home here. so far i am doing ok lol been one day but one day at a time.....i am going to quit this infernal snacking....

Hi Susan;

No on the muzzle. The size 1 is too small and size 2 is too Big so I am making one out of cat collars. I will take a picture when finished and know it works then post on my profile. It is so weird to be thinking about a muzzle when I know how sweet she really is.

Hugs

Welcome back Jan!!  We missed you.  It's just not the same without you, but sounds like you had a great vacation. We just got back from Long Horn celebrating Fathers' Day.  Their prices have really gone up since we were there last.  Max enjoyed it so that's what counts.  He had Prime Rib and brought some home.  I had grilled chicken and stuffed Portabelloas and a sweet potato.  He wanted the Tonion and I had some of that so I was almost full when my dinner came.  I have enough chicken left for 2 meals.  It was a whole chicken breast.  So, I got my money's worth.

Yesterday I bought 2 Balloon flowers.  Never heard of them.  They are perennials and were only $5.98 each.

I got yarn for Jessica's afghan but didn't like when I started making it.  It's just not as soft as I would like so today I went to Michael's and got another kind in hot pink that is very soft.

One more wee****il my vacation.  I'll be counting the days.
