You know we been reading in the Old Testament lately about the wars between the countries and all the different kings and how they serve their own gods and not the Lord.  When you take a look at all of what’s going on today it really hasn’t changed from way back then, there is still fighting going on and over there a lot have their own gods they still serve.  They have statues of themselves, like when Sadam Hussen was in charge, he had a huge statue of himself in the middle of town until they brought it down and it was broke into pieces.  That’s just like it was way back then and it will never change until the Lord comes back, actually I’m sure things are gonna get worse over there before they get better.

In Acts Paul got up and preached the great truth.  He actually went through the Old Testament lines up until Jesus was buried and rose again.  Paul passes from David to the Son of David, and shows that this Jesus is his promised Seed; a Saviour to do that for them, which the judges of old could not do, to save them from their sins, their worst enemies. When the apostles preached Christ as the Saviour, they were so far from concealing his death, that they always preached Christ crucified. Our complete separation from sin, is represented by our being buried with Christ. But he rose again from the dead, and saw no corruption: this was the great truth to be preached.

Again the devotional was something I needed this morning.  Lately I’ve really learned that when things look difficult and not going like we want them to go, just hang on because God has a plan and His plan will get us through into the Breakthrough we need.  That’s exactly what’s been happening to us lately and is still happening.  One door closes that we wanted to go through but a break through comes along and God opens the proper door we are suppose to go through.  It really does happen, God really does open and close doors, He really does work problems out that seem impossible to work out.  We just have to keep our expectors on and expect that break through to happen, stay positive minded and put your trust in Him, he will never fail you.

There is also a song I posted on our facebook page awhile back that really is like my testimony, the song is “Through The Fire" by the Crabb Family.  One of the lines says “God never promised the cross would not be heavy or the hill would not be hard to climb, He never offered our victories without fighting but He said help would always come in time.  So just remember when your standing in the valley of decision and the adversary says give in, just hold on my Lord with show up and take you through the fire again."  What an awesome song, if you have facebook take a look at my page and listen to that song.   Look under my email address [email protected]  Y’all have a great day.

Daily Devotional

II Samuel 22:29
"For You, O Lord, are my Lamp; the Lord lightens my darkness"

I’ve learned when things are difficult and don’t look like they are going our way, that’s when it’s the easiest to lose our joy, vision, and enthusiasm; to believe that things will never get any better. But during those challenging seasons in life, we have to learn to do just the opposite. Right in the midst of the adversity, that’s the time–more than ever–to expect a flood of His favor; a flood of healing, a flood of vindication, a flood of protection. Our attitude should be, “It may be dark, but I know the God of the breakthrough is about to turn things around!" “My child may be off course, but I know the God of the breakthrough is about to bring him back." “Business may be slow, but I’m expecting the God of the breakthrough to release a flood of His favor, a flood of new clients, a flood of new sales, a flood of promotion."

Remember, you are in prime position to see the light come bursting in. You’re in prime position for God to give you something to talk about. Keep living breakthrough–minded because He has victory in store for you today!

Today's thought: Thank You for the victory that You have in store for me. I put my trust in You and choose to live breakthrough–minded. Help me to guard my words and guard my heart so I can stay positioned for everything You have in store for me.

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
