Sitting here reading in I Kings about all the kings that become king in Israel then they sin and God destroys them, one after another after another, king after king, God allows them to be king then they sin against God, why in the world do they all sin against God.  Don’t they realize God will give them pretty much anything they want? But nope, it seems like when they become king of Israel it goes to their head or something and they think they can do anything they want, I guess there’s a lesson to be learned in there some where.  I know we live in New Testament days but we still need to obey the Word of the Lord and there’s some good Word to obey too.  Now further down in I Kings, wasn’t that a great miracle God did, when the little boy died Elijah prayed over him 3 times and God answered Elijah’s prayer, what a miracle for the woman and especially for her son.  Her faith was sure up there for she did what Elijah told her to do, feed him first and there would always be flour and oil left over and there was, that’s another miracle.  You know God still provides for us like that today if we only think about it, how many times have you been in need of something and you didn’t know how or where your need would be met, and yet it was met?  How awesome is our God!!  I love the devotional today, it kind of goes along with I Kings,  the woman and her son experienced a break through, she was provided food out of no where then her son being brought back to life, now that’s a true break through.  Do you need a break through in life?  I know I do, right now we need a real break through so Im gonna turn on my expectors and expect a break through to come, I don’t know how or where but I know it’ll happen and it will for you too, what ever your need may be expect God to meet that need and bring you’re a break through as long as we do our part He will do His.

Daily Devotional

II Samuel 5:20
"…the Lord has broken through my enemies before me, like the bursting out of grea****ers…"

A breakthrough is simply a sudden burst of God’s favor. It’s an explosion of His goodness. It’s when suddenly, God releases His power in such a way that it overwhelms you and drives out your enemies!

Maybe you’ve been praying about a child for years, and suddenly, they get back on the right course. That’s a breakthrough. Or you were trying to get in to a certain college. They said they were full, but suddenly, they call you back and say they have room for you. That’s another breakthrough. Perhaps you’ve struggled in your finances for a long time then you get a good break or a promotion. Now it’s not a struggle anymore. Those are all breakthroughs.

No matter what you’ve been facing, no matter how impossible things look, know this; the God of the breakthrough wants to visit your house. Your part is to be ready—to look for His favor and goodness. Remember, God rewards the people who seek after Him. So keep expecting and keep believing because the God of the breakthrough is ready to overwhelm you with His goodness today!

Today's thought: Father in heaven, today I am expecting Your goodness. I am looking for Your favor. I’m trusting that You, the God of the breakthrough, are working mightily on my behalf. Help me to live a life pleasing to You as I wait for Your hand to move in my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen

I Corinthians 15:57 - But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
